YA LGBT Books discussion

I'm a PLFAG mom, 20-year Gay Straight Alliance advisor, and ally. I'm also an author and I've written this speculative fiction book that reverses the roles of what we call gay/straight in our society . (I call the Parallel and Perpendicular). My intent was to give people in the majority a visceral feeling for what it would be like to be ostracized or deprived simply because of who they are. The book asks readers to put themselves in the shoes of people who are kept from those they love, and ultimately both the Parallels and Perpendiculars who fight for equal rights successfully overcome the oppressing theocracy.
