Will Overby (will1966) When I sign into the home page, there is an author dashboard widget in the top right corner. One of my books is displayed there. How is that particular book determined and can I change it?

C.P. Lesley (cplesley) | 199 comments In my case, the book displayed is the first one I listed. Could that be the case with you, too?

As to whether the book displayed can be changed, I will be curious to hear the answer.

Patrick Brown | 276 comments I believe it is either your most recent publication or your most popular (in terms of number of reviews or ratings). There is no way to change it, but keep in mind that only you can see that. It's not a public page.

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) @will, nothing to do with author dashboard, but for books/works you have in different formats/editions ( like paperback, kindle, older book cover vs. updated book cover in an alternate cover edition, 2nd edition, revised editn, types of things), — which one is featured to the public and to goodreads members viewing your author page or searching by book title is the most popular/rated edition unless the author sets the default/primary edition.

For directions, see Author FAQ #4 in librarians group at http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... or help screens at http://www.goodreads.com/help/show/31... .

Not sure how often you update your ebook/kindle/nook editions bookcovers; but, increasingly there are a lot of threads posted from frustrated authors trying to make sure their most updated covers show up. Generally not as much an issue for the traditional print copy only books that seldom get a cover change unless reprinted with unique isbn.
