Shay (shaylyn318) Don't get me wrong I love the paranormal genre but sometimes I get annoyed. I tried reading BDB but after the second book(which I couldn't finish) I stopped. Now I am reading Atlantis Rising (Warriors of Poseidon, #1) by Alyssa Day It is somewhat amusing but at the same time I am thinking just calm the F down already. Every character is such a hard ass. They are all constantly threatening to kick each others ass. Even the women. At this point it is a bit too much IMO. I haven't lost all hope yet and hope the d!ck swinging tones down. LOL.

There are defintely books with strong men that aren't so arrogantly aggressive about it...thankfully. I prefer the man that can walk into a room and just know he's badass without needing to prove it.

Rachel Annie (snapdragoness) Agreed. I tried the BDB series but couldn't get past the tough guy dialogue. What's the saying, speak softly and carry a big stick? ; )

I'll show myself out...

Shay (shaylyn318) Also these guys are all supposed to be 'brothers' and loyal to each other. Fighting for the same cause but then they are always threatening each other.

D (dgladb) | 16 comments I agree! I loved the BDB, LOTU, everything Sherrilyn Kenyon ever wrote, etc but its getting old. Even the bad ass chicas are getting overdone. I think this is why I am now leaning towards the books like Elizabeth Hunter's Elemental series and Anne Charles' Jackrabbit Junction & Deadwood books. Anyone know of more such series?
