Rachel, my general impression of him is "quirky and depressing, but upbeat". I'll have to see if that rings true!

I am still waiting for the library on this one, but since it's pretty short and I've been waiting to try this author forever, I'm going to read it anyway.

I really liked it. A little strange, but an easy listen and Dan Steven's voice is lovely. It certainly got me thinking about how I make use of time. It would be nice for life to not need timetables and deadlines but unfortunately that's not how the modern world works.

The only issue I had was why it was necessary to isolate Dor for such a long time. Surely the author is aware that long time isolation of humans results in severe mental illness. Certainly something a god would be aware of. Then to claim it was not a punishment? Yeah, right.

To begin with, I have never read any of Mitch Albom's books before. Anyone out there a huge fan? He seems rather diverse in topic!
