Lea Setegn I am SO excited to have found this group! I prefer secular reading, but I have no interest in reading sex scenes. My preference is to read the main characters kissing, then the lights go dim and we come back some time later with little to no discussion of what happened in between. I often read YA novels and Regency romances for that very reason. I can't wait to dive in to the bookshelf here!

Welcome, Lea!

I agree, I don't like to read sex scenes either, and they can even be found in YA sometimes (sigh), so it's nice to have a group that appreciates this type of reading, and that enjoys the same things. :)

I hope you find plenty of good books!

Welcome, Lea! You'll find lots of clean, secular romances to enjoy here. :-)

Sue Gibson (suegibson) | 9 comments I just joined too, and am also so happy to have found a forum for clean romances. I write for Montlake Romance (formerly Avalon) and have two sweet, romantic books currently available. No sex, but emotional and romantic. Both my books are set in cottage-country, Ontario Canada. So if there are any other Canadians out there, a big hello.

Marisa Adams (marisa_adams) | 36 comments Welcome Lea! I'm glad you were able to find our group. I love having a home to chat with others who love clean romances too. I will read others occasionally, but always manage to skip entire sections because they are just too much sometimes. Plus, I have a young daughter, and I love that she could sneak up behind me a read a sentence or two and I wouldn't worry. That's why I started writing clean too! I wanted her to be able to know what Mommy does and not be embarrassed :) And I love secular ones too! Look forward to getting to know you.

Rakastan ihania vanhan ajan rakkausromaaneja joissa ei ole seksiä eikä rivouksia.

C. | 289 comments Hi everyone! I am so excited that there is such a group here.

I also LOVE PG romance or maybe it would be considered PG-13? I'm not sure.

I want heart ponding, electricity in the air sexual tension, with knee-weakening kisses, but no petting and preferrably no sex before marriage, unless it is pertinent to the story. Then I would be fine with a tasteful mention of it happening, but absolutely no explicit sex scenes.

After decades of being an evangelical Christian,I am very familiars with most of the Christian authors, but since I am now an ex-Christian I prefer my books without the god-talk.So I am sooo excited about the possibility of finding clean reads that are not Christian! That is almost impossible with a search for 'Clean Reads' on Amazon!

BTW, I do not intend to join Facebook, just not interested.

I think Lynn Kurland does a great job on her romances. Some are time travel but if you aren't into that fantasy she does have several that are just medieval romance. I enjoy all of the them but my favorite is
This Is All I Ask. I also love If I Had You.

If you can find books by Judith Lansdowne, they are great as well. Some humor and great romance. My favorite is Balmorrow's Bride but I love them all. I like alot of Rebecca Winters books as well. Have you read her? Some of them are a little exasperating but many are nice little romances. Maybe try Undercover Husband.

Nanci | 62 comments I guess I should add Sarah Eden to the list as well. She has some nice romance. Try Courting Miss Lancaster I also really like alot of Carla Kelly. Some of hers skate a little close but I like them. Mostly her older books. Some of her newer ones have more religious tendencies. You might try Mrs. Drew Plays Her Hand or The Admiral's Penniless Bride If you like fairytale fantasy don't miss Entwined. I could go on and on but I won't. I have found some great ideas looking at the group's bookshelf.

C. | 289 comments I appreciate your taking the time to reply, however the Lynn Kurland books both have the element of abuse that I will not accept in my romances. I will not tolerate abuse of any kind even if it's just verbal, because I detest jerks.

No, I'm not familiar with Judith Lansdowne or Edith Winters their books sound much more interesting and fun, even though I don't usually read Regencys.
Thank you, and for the tip about looking at the group's bookshelf. :]

Actually it was Rebecca Winters. She is not actually regency, hers are contemporary.
