A Boy and A Girl (PB)
His plan was working
He had no clue
How wrong things would go
The damage he would do
One night she broke down
Feeling very alone
Just her and the blade
No one else at home
She dialed his number
He answered, "Hello?"
She told him she loved him
And hung up the phone
He raced to her house
Just a minute too late
Found her lying in blood
Her heart had no rate
Beside her was a note
In it her confession
Her love for this boy
Her only obsession
As he read the note
He knelt down and cried
He took the blade
That night they both died
She was found in his arms
Both of them dead
Under her note
his handwriting said,
"I love her so,
She never knew.
All this time,
I loved her too."

I have been wanting to create a zombie story. But until now, I've been busy. So now, I've decided it's time. But first, I'm going to write up a short story for you guys to read, and cunstructive criticism is WANTED. Please tell me what I did good and what I can do better! Please?! :)
...
"Steven, you idiot!" Kate screams, and I can see the frustration in her golden-brown eyes. Her long brown locks fly out behind her as she stomps past me. "Get your butt in here!" I look at her tall form, a lithe yet well-built figure with tangled chocolate brown hair trailing down her back, and her pale skin. Her dark eyebrows were furrowed in anger and her fists were clamped down so tight, her knuckles turned white.
Being so well-built and beautiful, I'd have guessed she were a Popular girl a month ago. I'd have guessed she had her line of handsome football players drooling over her. I'd have guessed she were the type of girl you'd want to just hang out with to be a little more respected at school. And her attitude suggested it, too. She was bossy and loud, with a tinge of hilarity but also serious but still rather calm when it came to business. Or, at least, that's what I've gathered in the week I have known her. But even in a few days, I know this is unlike Kate. A natural leader of our group of Survivors, despite how youg she is. I'm not used to seeing her so... I don't know, stressed? Maybe the events of May 15th have really gotten to her. Or maybe it's from losing Jacob to the Rabids.
Jacob was a chill guy, and he was origanally the head of our weak band of humans. He died in the old Drug Store a few blocks from where we are, a Gas store. We've been rummaging around for supplies. We're running low of canned goods and other crap. But this place had been run down and raided awhile ago. Kate and her twin brother, Keith, have only managed to find a couple energy bars. Only about 4 though, and that is much too low to sustain a group of 17. My fingers are crossed, but I know what my chances are of getting even a little piece. I know right away that Kate is going to instantly hand one to Keith. I doubt she'll take one herself, but she probably will. Then she'll give a granola bar to the kids to share, and then one to Veronica, who was Kate's friend.
I'm just your average, shy 16-year-old girl, the one whose always staying at the back and avoiding others. I never really did anything like gymnastics or whatever. I'd sit at home reading a book, or drawing some random thing, or whatever. My straight hair is bleach-blond, and falls past my elbows. I stand out because of it's color, and it gets annoying when people stare at what suddenly caught their attention for the 30th time. My eyes are mossy green. I've got porcelain pale skin which I hate, and I've got a build, but I'm not Kate. I'm nobody special. My name's Bethany. Call me Beth.
Now you know me. On with the story.
Steven is in the room in no time. He rakes a calloused hand into his dirty blond hair. But that's useless because it just flops back into position, over the sky blue eyes. He may be handsome and cute, but as Kate said, he's a complete idiot. It's as though he's got no idea where he is, sometimes. He is too kind. Too caring. Too much of a pretty boy. He keeps sacrificing himself for others. I hate him, especially for taking my battles.
Kate is screaming at him for something I've got no business in. I don't even know why I'm here. I look over at Tristan, Keith, and Isaac. Tristan and Isaac might act as leaders of the group, but everybody knows that Kate is the one in charge. I walk out, feeling like the loner. As always. Maybe I'll find something useful. Kate will like that. People will respect me more, and won't think of me as an outsider. Though I highly doubt there's anything left, after what Kate and Keith have went through. Everybody else consider them experts at finding stuff.
There's a shock of light, which catches my attention. I navigate my way through empty racks of coat hangers, to find a mirror. It's cracked. Badly. And there's a splatter of blood here and there, like the rest of the world. But I can see my reflection perfectly. My light hair has a layer of dirt, and crimson in some places. My cheeks are hollow and pale. There are bags under my eyes from waking at nightmares. I'm wearing a simple black t-shirt, and a dark gray hoodie that has a print of dark scarlet in the stomach area. My jacket over top of that is multi-colored. Dark green with violet, but mostly black. My jeans have a bit of a hole in one of the knees. I've got my usual dark sneakers, which have a hole in one toes and a hole in the other shoe's side. Aside from the pistol in my pocket, which I'm pretty sure only contains about 6 or 7 bullets, and the knife that's always held in my hand, I'm unarmed.
My sigh is interrupted by screaming. I jump and I'm shaking, expecting a Rabid to appear in the mirror behind me and claw my face apart, screaming madly. But it quickly dawns on me that that's not a Rabid shriek, I hear Kate. My head reels around and I run to the room I left a minute ago. Kate has already burst out of the door, with Keith, Steven and Tristan following on her heels. Tristan slams the door shut before I can speak.
"Where's Isaac?"
"Where do you think?!" Kate hisses, already rushing to the group of people, piling around what I think used to be a cash register desk. "We're leaving, now," She annouces to the group. But I hardly hear her over Rabid shrieks and Isaac's screaming. "If you have to collect supplies, I'm not waiting for you." There's banging on the door they were just in. They know we're here. Isaac is still screaming, even past the gurgling. I shudder, and I clutch my knife harder, swinging my gray backpack over my shoulders.
As I follow Kate and Tristan to the front entrance, I already feel the blood drain from my face before I can take a look at the door. The shrieking outside and the scratching nails on the door suggest the Rabids have noticed our location. That's when I start backing away before anybody else realizes it, too. My mind, I'm told, acts quicker and registers things faster than average. So I am barely able to avoid the shattering of a glass door and the rabids the burst in. Everybody but me, I think, is screaming in panic. But I'm calm and stay quiet. Hurrying away, I drive my knife into the temple of the Rabid that flies at me, and it falls to the ground. The Rabids can only work with the little ammount of brain they have, so detroying that will help. Or destroying more but not all will give you time, anyway. I run to the back of the store, mindlessly trying to escape the rush. A flash of movement catches my eye and I instantaneously roll to the floor, managing to just barely escape the Rabid's claws. I pull my gun on it and it stops, and we stand there, sizing eachother up. Theyy've gotten smarter, than when they had been before in their mindless rampage at the beginning. And I'm thinking how fast I can pull the triggar versus how fast this thing can hurl itself at me.
"Hey, over here!" Steven's voice calls from my left, and both me and the Rabid swing our heads to see him. That idiot. "That's right, come at me, not her!"
My teeth are clenched in anger as I pull the trigger. The Rabid falls to the ground, and I train the handgun on Steven's forehead. But I haven't any time to say a word as another Rabid rams itself into my abdomen, screeching it's head off. I gasp and shove the blade of my knife into it's neck, flinging it away. Luckily, it's in the direction of Steven. Fine, let the stupid kid die.
I'm on my feet and I start racing toward the Exit sign. I know it's my only chance to escape, or else me and the rest of the group are trapped. I find the door and my hand flies to the handle. No. No. I scream in desperation. No matter how far I push on the handle, the door doesn't move. It's as though something on the outside is leaning on the other side of the door and preventing it from opening.
I don't hear screaming anymore. The others must've died, and now I'm alone in a building full of Rabids. This death of mine will involve my limbs being torn apart by dozens of those things, the endless sound of shrieking deafening my ears. But my instincts refuse to let me die like this.
Windows. There must be windows. I starting running around the back of the store, stabbing the few Rabids who have scavenged their way to me. I nearly cry when I find the window. And though it's still intact, I don't care. The butt of my knife and the window collide, and pieces of glass fly into me. I gasp at the pain of glass shards cutting open my cheeks and arms. I ignore it, desperately trying to climb my way out to survival.
The pale, blood-caked fingers grabbed my neck and I hear a shriek in my ear. I wince at the deafening noise and immediately elbow my attacker in the gut. I whip around and come face-to-face with Keith. God. He's horrifying. One eye has been ripped from it's socket and that side of his face is covered in blood. I bet there's no skin left on that half, anymore. He's Turned quickly, how soon will the others come find me? By then, Keith would've clawed me down.
I do it quickly. I leap from my position to the window, and I hear the screeching behind me. I ignore the blistering pain in my palms as I place my hands on the window sill that's littered with glass shards. I push myself out, but my foot gets caught on something. Keith is flying out the window, shrieking and clawing the air I had just been. But he lands face-first into the blood-crusted dirt. By now, I tumble out on my back under the window, scrambling up. But I find the problem. My foot, hopefully not broken, is sprained. Keith is on my in a second, and I'm flinging my knife into the space above me, hoping it finds an infected brain. Keep it's outh away from me, away from me, away from me.
I hear the shot of a bullet and my eardrums start ringing. My eyes are closes, and I feel the wieght of a head on my chest. Now, I'll feeling it's teeth sinking into me and ripping my flesh apart. But it doesn't happen. My eyes open slowly and I see Keith's dark hair. He's not moving, and I whip my head over at Kate, who holds a gun at her side and is looking at the ground.
She speaks first. "Are you bitten?" Her tone is sour and bitter. Well, what did I expect? She killed her brother - Or what was left of him - to save my life. She's not expecting a 'Thanks'.
"No," I reply. I'm not hesitant, but I'm not exactly sure, either. I think back to my experience. I don't rember being bitten, but I guess we're about to find out in a few hours. I stand, and I realize I'm shaking so violently. There's adrenaline pounding in my veins and making my coarse breathing short, panicked breathes. I keep my weight off of my injured foot, but wince. I must look hideous. I picture my bleach-colored hair soaked in blood. My face littered with cuts and scratches. My jacket is ripped in a few places, but it's luckily not as severe as I thought it would be. I look at Kate, who's standing firm despite what just happened. That means the others are alive, then, right? Before I ask, my eye catches the group; Everybody but Isaac, Keith and two adults and a child are gone. So that leaves us with a group of 12. I note that Steven has somehow lived. The idiot must have powers, from the way he keeps on appearing after a sure-death. Or maybe I imagining it. Whatever.
"No," I saw more firmly. And I walk past Kate to the rest of the group. She doesn't say anything else as we return to them, and everybody's ordered to keep moving.
And I think, why did she save me? Why did she shoot what used to be Keith to save my butt? For all she know, I could've been bitten, too. And maybe I was. We'll see.
...

Thanks for the cunstructive criticism! I'm sorry for all the spelling/grammar mistakes, I was writing it up on my iPod :3 And the reason I had capitalized 'Turned' is because I was thinking they would considered the word a proper term for someone who's bitten and become a rabid. But thanks for pointing that out, I appreciate it! ^^ And as for the last paragraph (In your post) yes that's what I meant c: I kind of rushed that part, because I had to go shopping with my mom :P But anyway, I will consider this, thank you so much! I really do appreciate it! :D

@Calamity
Cool ^^ Just wondering, have you made your girl for the love triangle yet? If so, want to roleplay with my guy in the love triangle?
@Clotilde
Except in that book... When somebody turned, it was into a vampire o.o but there were zombies in it too, so yeah :P

As? Yeah, I hate when I type the wrong letter because it's right next to the one I wanted. And I usually type 'an' instead of 'and' because my iPod doesn't register the D key when I type so fast xD

I just started this, and it's really not quite good. It's not finished and it needs editing..
Please tell me what you think so far of my story! Tell me if I need any help with it! This is the first chapter to the story that I want to be published and I'm going to need all the help that I can get!
Messetti- The Girl Warrior:
Chapter One-
This is Tallis Tarrant. She haven't been known to do much adventuring, but more reading. She has read so many books about adventures and she has wanted to go on one, but she never really did go on one because of the fear of dying. Or never seeing her home again because that certain adventure changed her life and her mind. That's the beginning of her story that I’m going to tell you all. The story that brought her up to going on an adventure. I have grown old by now and I really want to share this story with you before I leave. Anyway, back to the story.
Tallis had to leave her old town, New York City. She had many friends and a wonderful life. May I add that it was normal as well. Her mother had died in a car accident. Tallis and her older brother were in the back of a dark blue van whispering about something, though I do not know what it is. But he whispered something to her and made Tallis laugh so hard that she almost screamed. Her mother, Camie, jumped by the sudden noise and the car zoomed off of their lane into the other one. A large moving truck hit their car and killed Camie quickly without much pain, it was just that fast. Their car fell off the side of the mountain. But Tallis, being as lucky and fast as she is, was a lot more lucky that day than usual as to catch onto a branch, her one wish was just that she could have saved her brother, Max’s life as well. Tallis was only eleven at that time.
Her father, Ben, had hated New York more than anything because of the loud noises and the lack of nature. So he gathered Tallis and her things up and moved to his family's old town. They have lived there ever since. Tallis was fourteen at that time. I remember that she had straight, carmal hair that fell down to the small of her back and dark, large, sparkling, mossy green eyes. Ben had jet black hair and sharp green eyes. Obviously, Tallis had gotten most of her looks and personality from Camie.
Tallis hated her father, Ben for making them move from her life and home, but she really had no choice but to go along with him. Because, if she didn’t, she would be living alone or in an orphanage. That was the last thing that she wanted to do, so she went along.

"Come on, Tallis. We're going to be late for our plane ride!"
"Comming, Dad."
Tallis trudged slowly to the car with a box of her most prized books of adventures. Peter Pan, Inkheart, The Hobbit, Harry Potter and the Prisioner of Azkaban. Those amazing books have been her favorite books for as long as she could remember.
"Tallis Tetra Tarrent! You get over to this car right now or I will leave you here all alone and you will be sent to an orphanage!"
"I actually wouldn't mind." Tallis muttered under her breath, but she picked up my feet a bit any way. Tallis hated it when her father, Ben ever got mad. It rarely even happens, that's why it scares her a bit.
"What did you say?" Ben growled angrily, his eyes looking wild and slightly dangerous. Tallis gulped down her fear. "N-Nothing." Tallis replied shakily. "That's what I thought." He grumbled. Tallis sighed and got into the back seat of the small, silver car with her two dark blue bags of cloths, five cardboard boxes of books, her special book box that her father had made and painted blood red, and the thing that means the most to her. It was a small wooden box, about the size of two eleven year old girl’s hands put together. Inside it has her prized possessions, my lucky pin that has an owl in flight inside a triangle, a pocket watch that is three hours and twelve minutes ahead, a compass that always points east, very old coins from England, rusty hair pins, a rusted locket with pictures her mother, Camie, and her old cat, Buttercup inside (along with some grass seeds), and a small notebook with her deepest secrets. The wooden box is kept in Tallis’s largest pocket of her capris right now.
Tallis leaned her head against one of the car windows and stared at the city rushing past Ben and her. She loved the city more than anything. But who knows, maybe I’ll like my new home that I’m traveling to better than the city. Tallis thought, that made her snicker at herself. Really? Love my new home better than the city? Impossible.
"Are you alright back there?" Ben asked Tallis, snapping her out of her deep thoughts. "Just fine." She answered, trying to keep that sad and angry tone out of her voice. If he heard it, he would start to lecture Tallis about being kind and why she’ll love her new home. That was his usual thing, lecturing Tallis about everything. They didn't have anything in common. She like things to be cluttered while he likes things to be perfect and clean. Tallis liked old, rusted things while he likes new, sparkling things. Tallis liked to explore while he likes to relax. She liked to read while he likes to clean. He gets mad at her for reading so much because he thinks that Tallis doesn’t like the world and she’s trying to stay out of it. That actually is sometimes true. Tallis read when she was sad most of the time. Other times, sje just would like a good adventure without leaving the comfort of her own home. Tallis did love her world mostly, because she had so many kind friends, a good family, amazing food, and a perfect city. That was until Camie died. Tallis didn't have a good family anymore. Ben got rid of the amazing food Camie and Tallis loved. The city was talking about 'The Girl Who Lived' and Tallis’s friends were scowling at her for all the attention. Tallis didn't have any of the things that she loved about her life anymore.
Those thoughts made Tallis shutter and it made a huge lump form in her throat, but she couldn't just shoo it away. Tallis pulled a book out of her special book box at random. Tallis ended up pulling out Peter Pan and the Lost Boys, she opened to the book marked chapter. It was her most favorite page and chapter, their adventures of the forest. Tallis lost herself in the book and paid no attention to the world which she was actually in right now.

"Someone shall be moving into the house on the boarders in which our home land is on? That is impossible! No one has even taken a step in our fields and forests since Sir Mondaren died!"
"Tis not impossible for Sir Mondaren did it himself."
"Well, why would anyone want to move into that home? I know of no one."
"Perhaps Sir Mondaren's own great-great grandson, the one who is moving into that old cabin upon our boarders."
Elves, that's who these gentlemen were. They were chattering frantically about the new people that are moving into the old, wooden, small cabin in the huge yellow field.
"Perhaps that may be right. I just do not understand!”
“ Do you think that they might find out about us, our world? Do you?" Asked the elf with sort of a Ireland accent. Yet he still seemed wise due to the rapidness of it. He had waved red hair that fell down to his waist and pale, wise, old green eyes that were pointed at both sides. His ears were pointed as well, obviously. Unlike most elves you might hear of, such as the elves at the north-pole that help make toys with Santa Clause, these elves were tall. They may be even a little bit taller than human. About the size of a small apple tree beginning to grow.
The older one--that looked to be the leader, or king, which ever you would like to have him be named as--sighed and looked down at his pointed shoes. "I do not know, but I hear of a young girl. The age of fourteen, that she is a very great explorer and might find out who we are, that we all still exist." He stated softly. This elf looked older than the other. He had long white hair that was a little longer than the other who had the Ireland accent, and old, icy blue eyes. Yet not a single wrinkle was placed on his face.
"Maninkle, do you think that this young girl shall tell the world?" Asked the Ireland elf. Maninkle, as he was named, sighed and nodded. "Tis possible, yet not confirmed for sure. No one can tell of the future, just of the present and past, Trenkle." Said the old elf to the other. Trenkle, as the Iareland elf was called, bowed his head and excused himself from Maninkle's tower.
The tower was pure, sparkling white and so tall that you could see the elve's whole land of green, forest, and water. There was a glittering, blue lake far to the left side and a huge, shimmering water fall straight ahead that made a small stream that lead to the lake. On the right side of the whole land was forest. Just straight forward, yet not as far as the waterfall, was green fields that grew flowers of all colors. To the side of the beautiful fields was a small village, that is where the rest of the elves lived that were not royalty. There wasn’t many, but about enough to fill up a street in your own neighborhood. Then a castle of pure white stone, which Maninkle was living in. The tower that Maninkle was in did not have any walls. You could jump off without anything to stop you. There were green vines wrapped around the large rock poles that held up the roof. And then a long table in the middle where he often sat to have meetings about topics like the meeting he and Trenkle had just done.
"You are frustrated, aren't you King Maninkle?" Asked a soft angel like voice from behind the old elf. He turned around to see an elf girl that looked like an angel. She had a soft glow about her. Her hair was almost white, yet not white exactly. It was very pale blonde, it was in small, perfect waves and floated about her head. She had on a flowing white dress that flew behind her while she walked. You could not see her hands since they were hidden in her long white sleeves of the dress. Her lips were pale pink, full, and soft looking. Her skin was pale without a single speck or dot on it. Her eyes were not icy blue like Maninkle’s, but a very pale, soft, and warm blue. The sides of her eyes were pointed as well, like almost all of the other elves. There was a small grass woven crown with pink flowers upon her head. This wasn't the queen of all elves, but she was powerful. She was the witch of the elves. She could see the future, she made peace and so forth.
"Messetti…." Maninkle gasped. He may be the king and leader of all the elves, but he had never seen the kind and beautiful witch with the name of Messetti. It was also the name of their magical fantasy land.
"Yes. That is my name." Messetti replied softly, walking around him and making the flowing skirt of her dress fly behind her. "Wh-What are you doing here?" Maninkle asked, trying to sound confident. He was not one to stutter of course, yet he did when he saw the beauty of the angel like elf girl. A soft smile played on Messetti's lips. "I am here to see what is troubling you, sir." She whispered softly. "Now, what is it?"
Maninkle gulped and played with his fingers behind his back. "I do not want to trouble you my kind Lady Messetti, but I must tell you. There shall be a man and girl moving into the small wooden cabin that is on the boarders of our land. The small girl is an explorer and might find us, she might tell the world that we are still here and we shall not have peace." Maninkle whispered frantically. "Mm..." Messetti hummed. She picked a dark red apple from a golden bowl and ran her fingers along it. "That shall not be anything to worry about, for I trust this young girl. She should not tell."
Maninkle asked, walking over to her and putting a hand on the rock pole, afraid that he might fall. "I believe that we can. Just do not worry." Messetti whispered, laying a hand on his cheek. Then she jumped off of the tower and disappeared.
Maninkle sighed and sat down on the table. He rubbed his forehead like he had a head ache.

Tallis had been so lost in her book that she did not hear her dad tell her that they were parked in a airport in Pennsylvania. Tallis had just noticed that they had stopped when Ben shook her shoulder violently. Tallis jumped and looked up into his bright green eyes. Then she blinked and realized that they stopped driving. "Come on out sweetheart, we're at the airport." Ben whispered. It was very dark outside, twilight was upon them. He grabbed two of his bags and three of her big cardboard book boxes. He only packed his cloths because that's all he needed besides their furniture that was going to fly to Montana without Ben and her. Tallis grabbed her two bags of cloths and three of her book boxes after patting her pocket to make sure her most prized possession was still in there. Then, Tallis followed after Ben. Some people helped them put all of their stuff away in the plane and they sat down in one of the comfy, dark blue chairs. Tallis sat on the opposite side of her dad and stared out the window again since someone took her book that she was reading and put it in her cloths bag messily. Tallis had stepped on their foot hard, but declaimed it was an accident. The plane started and they were on their way. Tallis could almost see New York from how high they were, that made her stomach flip from home sickness. It was sad that she probably was never going to see New York ever again, in her whole life. Tallis closed her eyes and pictured herself sitting by the fire on Christmas Eve, drinking hot chocolate with Camie and reading A Christmas Carol with her. Taking a turn to read a chapter each time. Talls fell asleep with that sweet thought in her mind.
Tallis’s eyes fluttered open and I saw that it was twelve in the afternoon when she checked her sparkly silver watch. Had I really slept for that long? Tallis thought while yawning and stretching. Then she looked out the window again. They were in Bismark, North Dakota already. The plane went down and landed. Their car was in the parking lot, someone had flown it over here for us. Tallis put her stuff in the back again and pulled out her book, Peter Pan and the Lost Boys, the cover was bent a little bit from being stuffed into her bag. Tallis grumbled under her breath, "Stupid person." and "should've gotten a hard cover."
Tallis bent the cover back into place the best that she could and started to read it again. She was already almost finished with it, but that may be because she had skipped thirteen pages so that she could get to her favorite chapter and page.
"Are you reading again?" Ben asked slightly grumpily while glancing at the review mirror.
"It's getting me smarts and this is one of my most favorite stories." Tallis told Ben smartly. He rolled his eyes and went back to driving. My stomach grumbled, I hadn't eaten since seven in the morning yesterday. "Dad, do we have any food in the car?" She asked. Ben threw back a string cheese stick and a small pack of Club Crackers. Tallis started to eat while staring out the window. She needed time to think, but she couldn't think too well because of car sickness that was flipping around her in stomach, making her feel nauseated.
Ben stopped the car in front of a fast food place called McDonalds. Of course Tallis had heard of it before, she just has never been there because Camie hated the grease and French fries. But Ben loved it more than almost anything.
Tallis got out of the silver car and went inside with Ben, cringing at the sudden smell of burgers and French fries. Tallis breathed in and out, leaning against a wall to calm down the car sickness growing inside of her. "Can we eat outside?" She asked Ben. He sighed and nodded, as if he loved the smell that flips your stomach around after being in the car for too long. Tallis ordered herself a salad, a small burger with lettuce, ketch up, and mustard on it, plus some apples and caramel quickly.
Then she scurried outside, tripping over her own feet at times to get the fresh air that she desperately needed before she threw up. Tallis sat down at a table and ate her salad first. Then she stared at the burger, disgusted. Finally, she ate it when her stomach grumbled again. Surprisingly, it didn't taste as bad as Tallis thought it would. Actually, she really loved it, but she didn’t want to admit that to her dad, because she didn’t want him to think that she wanted to move to a whole different place.
"Do you like it?" Ben asked. Tallis shrugged with a face that said ‘it’s alright’, and continued to eat more slowly. Ben sighed sadly and went back to eating.
When they finished, they got back into the car and continued the drive. Tallis picked up her book again and continued reading, but her mind kept on going back to New York City, so she put down her book and stared out the window again. Tallis thought about Camie, the place we would be moving to, books, and finally, adventures. Tallis didn't know how her thoughts lead to there, but she couldn't help but continue to think about it, even if it scared her slightly. The house that they would be moving to had a large field in front and behind it. It was a tiny house in a ocean of yellow field. Wild horses would be running around, plus her own horse that she would be able to keep and take care of. Tallis has always wanted a horse, just never got one because her mom, Camie wanted to stick with the city and she hated animals bigger than a full grown house cat.
"Dad, are we almost there?" Tallis asked. Ben was silent for a moment. "We just crossed the boarder to Montana!!" He grinned excitedly. Tallis couldn't help but be a bit excited myself and grin along with him. There were fields, forests, and so much nature in Montana. So much exploring to do, Tallis actually thought it might be a little fun, maybe even better than New York. But she didn't tell her dad that. Because Tallis still wanted to go back to New York and not live here forever, even if she was actually thinking it might be even more fun. She still had some friends there, and it would feel like she was with her mom, Camie and her brother again.
Tallis heard that her great-great-great grandfather died in the house that they will be staying in. His ghost could be roaming the house and the halls, haunting Tallis. And who knows if he was that trust worthy? He could just grab a knife and kill her with one slice!
Tallis shivered at the thought of ghosts and went back to the thoughts of her own horse. Ben could teach her how to ride it and then she could explore the fields, the forests, and perhaps play a game of find the dragon... just by herself. Tallis and her older brother, Jack would always play that game. They would go to the empty parking lot just a couple of blocks from their apartment and they would play find the dragon for hours. Then we would end up slaying it! It was such a fun game to play, especially with someone to play it with. He was two years older than Tallis, and even when he was almost fifteen, he still played it with Tallis. He loved her more than anyone that she knows. Jack didn't care if his love for me lost his friends. "At least I have you." He'd always say. Her heart sank when Tallis realized that he was dead.
They found his and Camie’s body at the bottom of the mountain in a crushed car. Jack was torn up with scratches, bruises and so on. There was no chance that he could stay alive. Tallis shook my head while tears filled up her eyes and made her vision blurry. She refused to think further on. They finally pulled up to a very small, wooden cabin lost in yellow fields so far that Tallis could just barely see a line of green, a forest.
Tallis turned her head to the house again and saw two horses in a large gate beside the wooden cabin, they were eating. One was smaller than the other, so that one must have been her’s. It was a girl as her dad, Ben had said, she could tell. It was white with brown spots and a long, wild mane. Tallis decided to name her Love. Ben looked at her through the review mirror. "Like it?" He asked. Tallis nodded with a huge grin on her face, she forgot all about making her dad remember that she didn’t want to move. "And you get your own cat." He added. Tallis gasped and squealed behind her hand.
When the car stopped, Tallis jumped out of the car and ran to the house faster than a cheetah. She opened the door and ran inside the small house. Sure enough, there was a cat resting on a couch. All of our furniture was inside. The cat seemed to be close to a year old. It was a girl definitely. She was white with gray spots and ears. Some of the gray from her ear was over one eye. She had a small pink nose. Tallis decided to name her Luna. So far, this has been the best home she has ever had. But Tallis couldn't let her dad know that. What she didn’t know, is that he already knew that she liked it.

"They're here!"
"Oh! Let's go tell Maninkle!"
These are fairies. They can also be called messengers because they send messages to everyone. One of the fairies was a boy and the other was a girl. The girl had curled brown hair that was in a pixie cut. She had sharp black eyes. The boy had curled black hair and sharp blue eyes. The girl's wings looked to be made out of leaves, they were smaller than the boy's, his wings looked like pale pink rose petals. They flew off to go inform the old elf that they had arrived.
"Maninkle! Maninkle!" The fairies gasped from flying so fast.
"Yes?" Maninkle asked, staring over the land on the step that Messetti had been standing on earlier that day. The days in the fantasy land went by slower than human's time.
"They have come!" Cried the girl fairy.
"Make sure to keep an eye on them. Be sure that the girl doesn't go adventuring into our land. If she does, use your powers to turn into birds and peck her away." Maninkle ordered without facing them. The fairies nodded and zoomed away, back into the field to keep an eye on them.
"Do you believe that the girl wil reveal us to everyone in the world Buttercup?" Asked the girl fairy without facing the boy. The boy fairy with the name of Buttercup, sighed and shrugged. "How could anyone be sure, Skyfall?" Buttercup replied. Skyfall, the girl fairy, nodded. "Messetti told Maninkle that we can trust her. Who would you believe?" Skyfall asked. Buttercup tapped his chin and thought a moment.
"Messetti." He replied.
"Exactly." Skyfall whispered.
They exchanged sly looks and giggled.

"Do you want to go on a ride on your brand new horse?" Ben asked Tallis. She thought a moment, half of her wanted to stay at the small, wooden to read and cuddle up with her new cat, Luna. But the other half wanted to ride on her new horse, Love and explore the fields. "Could you teach me first?" Tallis asked. Ben smiled. "Of course, sweetheart." He confirmed. Tallis followed him out of the house and to the horses.
"Alright, to start off, you need to learn how to put the saddle on. Do you know how to do that?" Ben asked me. Tallis rolled her eyes, her brother had taught Tallis how to do this years and years ago.

Tallis grabbed a heavy saddle from the fence and put it on Love, then she buckled it underneath. Ben smiled. "That's good. Now, do you know how to get on?" He asked. Tallis sighed and rolled her eyes again. Does my dad really think I was that stupid? Tallis put one foot on the foot holder and then swung the other one over. 'Perfect' is what her dad's look said. Then he taught Tallis how to ride it. That took about half an hour. The sun would be setting soon, twilight would be coming upon them. It was eight o'clock and looking a bit creepy. Her dad wanted her to practice the different runs and walks around the field before going further away from him to venture the woods that they both could just barely see from here, that’s why it was already so late.
"We should probably be getting inside now." Ben told Tallis, helping her off of the horse. Tallis stared at him with wide, horrified eyes. "Dad, please may I go to the woods? Please?!" Tallis begged. Ben shook his head, his black hair wagging around a bit. "It's to late. We haven't even had dinner yet." He told her, that meant that their argument was final, over. Tallis sighed and took Love back into the fence. She closed it up and locked it after giving Love an apple and fresh straw. Walking back inside, Tallis smelled the aroma of spaghetti. "Could you set the table, please?" Ben asked. Tallis nodded and walked quickly over to the old cabnits, her caramel hair flying. Tallis pulled plates and cups out of the creaking cabinets, then she set the dishes upon the table, along with knives and forks. Ben scooped some hot spaghetti out of the steaming pot and plopped it on both of their plates. After that, we sat down to eat.
After finishing, Tallis took her dishes to the sink and washed them off with dish soap and water. She dried them off with a soft, orange towel and put them into the cabinets once again. "Do you know where my room will be?" Tallis asked Ben. He nodded as he put away his own dishes. Ben helped Tallis with her stuff and showed her to a room down a spooky, creaking hall. Dark shadows danced across the walls as the walked, reminding Tallis of ghosts. It was dead quiet besides the sound of the creaking wood and owls hooting outside of the wooden walls. It was spooky, too spooky. Tallis and Ben put down her stuff, he left her room. Tallis got into some purple button up pajamas and took out a book called, 'Inkheart'. She sat down on my bed and starting reading, getting the chills every now and then. There seemed to be a cold gush of wind and tapping on the floor. There was a small BANG! Tallis jumped and slammed her book shut, the slam echoed through her room. Tallis tried to gulp down her fear, but her throat seemed to be too dry. Tallis’s heart started racing faster than ever. Tallisi checked her watch with shaking hands, it was one in the morning already. Ben would be in bed, asleep right now. Tallis heard a creak and jumped out of her bed, then she ran out of her room and down the halls! The thumping of her feet echoed through the halls. She quietly entered Ben's room. Sure enough, he was snoozing in his bed. Tallis sighed and curled up on the other side of his large bed.
Her heart beat finally slowed down to a normal pace, even if it took a while. Tallis laid on her back and stared at the ceiling. There was a circle in the wood that looked like it could be an eye, watching her. Tallis at first was spooked once again, but she tried to think of a good thing. The eye of the wood was watching over her, making sure that she’s safe no matter what. Tallis sighed and rolled over on her side, she pulled her dad’s cover’s up to her nose and breathed in the scent. They stilled smelled like her mom slightly with a hint of her dad. Camie smelled like sweet flowers and mints while Ben smiled like freshly moan grass that’s splattered with dew and chocolate.
Tallis crept out of the bed again, slowly. She went back into her room and dug through her bag of cloths. She had packed one of her brother’s hoodies in case she missed him to much. She pulled it over her head. It was pretty big on her, but she didn’t care. She breathed in the scent of her brother. He smelled like bubble gum and a day when you go outside after it rained. Tallis smiled and went back into her bed. She pulled the covers up to her chin and put her hands that were covered by the sleaves to her nose so she could continue to smell the sweetness of her brother. Then she went to sleep, feeling a little safer than she did before.
Yet, even if she did feel safer, the thought of ghosts still played in her head. Leaving her with unpleasent dreams. She drempt that she was sleeping outside under the sparkling stars, until some cold, hard hands grabbed her and pulled her into the forest. Tallis screamed and screamed, but since there was no one from miles, no one could hear it. She looked behind her and she saw a pale figure that you could see through. It was a women that looked afully like a scary virsion of her mother. She grabbed a knife and stabbed once, twice, three times! And she was dead.
(******)
"Maninkle?" Asked Skyfall.
"Yes?" Maninkle asked as he paced in his grand bedroom.
"The girl is planning on venturing our way soon. To the forest. Do you believe that she shall find us?" Asked Buttercup.
"I do believe so. This young girl is quite brilliant, I believe that she shall find us if she does venture our way." Maninkle replied. "But I truly don't believe that she shall tell everyone about us so that they might capture us. Just as Messetti had said." Skyfall told Maninkle. He turned around sharply. "How could you have known that Messetti had come to visit. Or what we talked about?" Maninkle asked. Skyfall sighed and looked to the ground. "Just curious, Sir." She whispered quietly. Maninkle sighed. "I order you to stick to the plan or you shall be banned from our world!" Maninkle boomed.
Skyfall and Buttercup stared at him, shocked. Then they sulked away.
"Are we still going to stick with our plan or are we going to follow Maninkle's orders?" Buttercup whispered into Skyfall's ear. Skyfall thought a moment. "We are going to obey Maninkle for he is our king and we shall be banned if we should not do as we're told. Although, I do not think that we shall be so hard on her as he thought we might." Skyfall whispered back. Buttercup smiled slyly and they flew away quickly to go and keep an eye on Tallis once again.
“Do you know if she’s nice or not?” Buttercup asked. Skyfall shrugged. “She’s only a child, so I don’t think that she can be to horrible. But I believe that she is kind.” Skyfall replied, while staring through the window of Tallis’s room. Buttercup sighed and turned around from staring through the field. “Don’t look! Boys shouldn’t be watching girls sleep!” Skyfall hissed. Buttercup sighed and plopped onto the ground, turning the other direction with his head propped on his hands.
“I really don’t think that she’s going to come out, she’s asleep. Why would she come out in the dead of the night?” Skyfall sighed. She sat down next to Buttercup. “But she is twitching.” Skyfall added. “Why?” Buttercup asked with a questioning look. Skyfall thought a moment. “We could go find out!” She squealed, grabbing Buttercup’s wrist and pulling him through a crack under the door. They flew silently through the house and into Tallis’s room. She was snoozing quietly, her breath coming from her nose and her mouth just a crack open.
Skyfall laid a small hand upon her head and squeezed her eyes shut. She took it off with a jump and opened her eyes. “What is it?” Buttercup asked, looking clearly frightened. Skyfall sighed and rested her hand on her chest. “She’s having a horrible nightmere.” Skyfall actually looked sorry for the fourteen year old girl. Fairies didn’t really become sorry for anyone, they mostly just think about themselves.
“A-Are you sorry for the girl?” Buttercup smirked. Skyfall rolled her eyes. “This girl has gone through a lot lately if you would just care a little!” Skyfall hissed. Buttercup smirked again and rolled his eyes. “Do you think that we should wake her up?” Skyfall wondered aloud. Buttercup shook his head. “It would only spook her more if you ask me.” He replied. Skyfall sighed and nodded, then they both flew back outside and into the forest.
"We should probably be getting inside now." Ben told Tallis, helping her off of the horse. Tallis stared at him with wide, horrified eyes. "Dad, please may I go to the woods? Please?!" Tallis begged. A Boy And A Girl (Part A)
A boy and a girl
The best of friends
From elementary to high school
From beginning to end
Through all those years
Their friendship grew
They both felt the same
But neither knew
Each waking moment
Since the day they met
They both loved each other
From sunrise to sunset
He was all she had
In her terrible life
He was the one
Who kept her from the knife
She was his angel
She made him smile
Though life threw him curves
She made it all worth while
Then one day,
Things went terribly wrong
The next few weeks
Were like a very sad song
He made her jealous
On purpose he tried
When a girl asked,"Do you love her?"
On purpose he lied
He played with jealousy
Like it was a game
Little did he know
That things would never be the same
...
