Ready Player One discussion

As a person who is actually working in the virtual reality space I found Ready Player One to have the most realistic depiction of the upcoming VR Net or "Oasis" as it's called in this book. We tried to create this technology in the 90s but only now do we finally have the computing power to operate head mounted displays with low-latency. It's ironic that the first viable VR headset called the Oculus Rift has been introduced shortly after the publishing of this book.
