Kaje Harper | 17365 comments Time to nominate some authors for our June "Author of the Month":

Authors must have released at least 2 YA LGBT downloadable or paper books or short stories. Please include the following:

Author name - Ideally with a link on Goodreads or to their page elsewhere

2 or more relevant book titles of theirs - ideally link on Goodreads - just titles needed, although you can add a little description if you like

Why this author? - at least one sentence about why you picked this author for the poll. (Authors please do not nominate yourselves.)

A maximum of 12 nominations will be posted per month. We will vote on one author to discuss. Lets see if we can help each other find new favorites.

This month's nominations are open through May 29 midnight EST.

Nominations are closed.

Poll is posted here: https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/1...

Voting through Midnight June 4th.

Out of the Pocket
and Openly Straight

and The Porcupine of Truth released yesterday.

K (k-polipetl) | 4090 comments I am going to nominate Alex Sanchez

His best known series is probably the Rainbow Boys trilogy

Other books include The God Box, Getting It, Boyfriends with Girlfriends, Bait and for younger readers So Hard to Say

I've read most of these, a long time ago, in my pre Goodreads days and am probably well over due for a re-read :)

Mel (melleach) I would like to nominate Gene Gant. He has a wonderful range of stories from contemporary to sci-fi. His characters are entertaining and engaging and his stories always have an uplifting message.

Some of my favorites are: The Battle for Jericho
The Supernaturals
Always Leaving

Time spent with Gene's books is always time well spent.

Cat (librariancat) Malinda Lo
Author of Ash, Huntress, Adaptation and Inheritance
She is a strong advocate for LGBT+ YA and for more general diversity in YA.
