Books on the Nightstand discussion

i'm familiar with McSweeney's but could use other ideas for this topic. How do I distinguish imprints from smaller publishing houses (an idea for a BOTNS podcast perhaps)

You could choose a University press to be assured it was a small press and not an imprint. Also you could consult this list before you read to find out if your book is published by an imprint or a small press.

I'm currently reading Paul Harding's Tinkers (won the Pulitzer a handful of years back), and it's from a small press, Bellevue Literary Press. It's a short read too, as it's under 200 pages.

So what books is everyone choosing?
