I was just wondering how you found the 'Darkyn' series?

Me? Well my roommate had a copy of one of the books and she read the book in 10 hours. So I decided to read it as well.

I was at the library, and I saw them. I had just finished the BDB books, so I was hoping for another hit vampire series-- I ended up really glad I tried them. :) They seemed a little short when I looked at them, but I never noticed while reading.

A friend and myself like to read series books for some reason. I think because it takes us into their world a little longer than a stand alone book. Then we talk about them. I spotted them on Amazon and the covers caught my eye, and that's how we started them. I bought the first 2 off of amazon and after I read them I got the rest.

I work at the library and I was actually pulling them for another patron. Unfortunately, we only have the first three, so I'm stuck waiting on ILL for the last few...

I ended up reading them because several people on goodreads recommended them to me.

I saw Evermore cataloged in my Bookclub and thought I'd give it a try. I loved the story and went back to read the others. Now it's one of my top five series.

I just found this list, starting If Angels Burn today. I was wondering, how do you find the short stories? I'm not seeing where there is a list, like if they are in an anthology or how to read them. The last 4 books are the ones I'm thinking of.

Is the Midnight Blues #4 the same and the Midnight Blues short story?

yes Midnight Blues is the short Story there isn't a full length novel called MB in the series. Sorry for the late reply and welcome to the group

I just read all of these. I read them in this order:

Midnight Blues. It was good but left me wanting more.

Worthy, Willing and Wanted. These were all good and they all coincide. They got better the further I went.

Incarnatio, was wonderful. A really good story with Jamys, Thierry, Lucan, Samantha, and Rafael. I loved this one.

I'll have to read Incarnatio, I haven't gotten around to that one yet. I always wanted to know more about Jamys. Poor boy.

Incarnatio sounds good.I'll have to read. Although I like anything with Lucan.

The whole story was great. Bringing Jamys into it was a bonus. I think you will enjoy this more than you know.

You know it. Lucan is sooooo HOT. And I've always liked how he doesn't take any kind of B/S especially when it comes to Sam.

I found out cause my mom is a walking library. So far i am on Evermore.

Did anyone else read that after Stay The Night, Robin of Locksley's story, the series ends?

Yeah, unfortunately. But she's starting another series in the same universe at least. :) Centered around the kyndred.

Ooooh, I didn't know.... how will that work out? Any ideas?

I'm not sure. Once you read Stay the Night, you learn the origins story of the characters in the new series. They're a different race. (I hope that's not giving anything away.) I do know that some of the Darkyn will be making an appearance in the new one.

I'll have to read STN again, then. I recall the reference, but no specifics. I was disappointed to think that it would end so abruptly.

My sister bought If Angels Burn. I ended up liking it more than she did. LOL.

The new series, Shadowlight, A Novel of the Kyndred, comes out October 6th according to Amazon.

I can't wait to read it. I. Loved the slight we got of what will be going on in this series.

Lol I can't really remember but it has something to do with the Orphans and what the Brethen were doing to them. The glimpses are within the Jaus and Robin stories. It was what Alex was uncovering.

I was just at the book store and they caught my attention, i've only read the first one so far and i really liked it. I am now on Private Demon.

I want to read the other topics of this group, but im afraid they may have some bloopers, ill just have to wait :(

Ok. Here goes.

I picked up a book randomally because I thought the guy on the cover was hottttt. So I read it, and it was just ok. (I believe it was the second.) But I have an issue with OCD (haha) and I can't NOT read the rest of a series when I start it. So I pushed through that book and the next. But the third book in the series I was hooked. I went back and read the first book (helped a lot). I really fell in love with the characters.

I really like how the series left off with HUGE new developments. And now we have Shadowlight! Yay!

Yeah, I was shocked when I heard Darkyn ended with the way things were at the end of Stay The Night. But I hope Shadowlight picks up and keeps that going.

Big developments at the end, LOL. I hope we see some of the same chars again. The series differed from book to book, imo, some being more romance-y than others, etc. Don't you think?

I want to see more of Michael and Alex, find out what she really does with the 'information' she uncovered.

Another author that I love, Larissa Ione, gave If Angels Burn 5 stars and I just had to read it. Loved it!!!

I stumbled upon the first book in a bookstore while looking for something to read on a trip. I was drawn in by the cover and am glad i picked it up! It's one of my favorite series! The books just get better and better, I wish she hadn't ended the series!!! Looking forward to reading her new books.

I agree I felt the series could have continued. i still haven't picked up Shadowlight to read but I will.
