Black backgrounds are instantly harder to process than light backgrounds. Especially when it gets to walls of text. The front page isn't bothersome, but that second page is starting to get hard to read. The blue and yellow are also too dark on that page to be text and is hard to process. I suggest revising your colours here.

I think the little time ninja icon is cute, however for something called Timelord Ninja I expected the biggest and badassiest Doctor Who Ninja with sonic Shurikens and a dramatic knitted striped ninja scarf standing on a tiger-striped TARDIS made of lightning. Not going to lie.

I love your copyright...I might steal that for future self published works if you don't mind. I love the idea of people sharing my book.

Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) I agree with CB. On your second page, reading on a tablet, the space between the letters flickers on the white text. You may want to consider both a larger font and line spacing. The blue and green don't bother me as much, but the way they are alternated makes the one not being read kind of hover like an invisible image illusion.

Diana Rising (dianaruthr) Hi Rob, I can see it pretty clearly on my laptop in chrome, iphone 6 plus and on my kindle fire hd. I like how much you have on your pages -- so many website pages are too full and your arrangement gives good emphasis to the covers and the sign-up, etc.

Going with the black background with small white font seems hard to read at 100% sized webpage with my laptop resolution set to the natural resolution to my screen. that is a complicated way to say, I think the font should be bigger. The font on the descriptions under the expanded book covers was a good size font.

Speaking of the covers, I think the graphics on the covers when I click on a cover a a bit too big. If I hadn't been looking over the website for you, I might not have scrolled down to see the book descriptions underneath. Maybe on that page, start with the text, then put the expanded cover below it, or just make the cover graphic on those pages quite a bit smaller.

I tried a lot of the links, and put my email in the sign-up and they all worked perfectly.

In the "Sharing" section, second paragraph, the third sentence ends "irie." If that is an acronym, I don't recognize it and it should be capitalized.

In the "Sharing" section, under "Discretionary compensation," second sentence, I would say, "I have some expenses..." rather than "I am making some expenses..."

On the laptop and chrome, the headings "Stories" "Sharing" "Beta-Readers" overlays with the main title on the "Stories" and "Sharing" pages. When I click on the first cover on the "Stories" page, the cover overlays with the headings, too. That doesn't happen on my iphone.

On my iphone, when I click a cover, it comes up too big and too far to the right--both the graphic of the cover and the text.

I find the colored fonts hard to read, too. It seems like the color bleeds into the black.

I think it would be better to say "Do you wish..." rather than just "Wish..." above the signup on the "Stories" page. Also, I would end the line with the question mark and start "Use this..." on a new line. If it was left justified, it wouldn't look so odd with the line break where it is.

Speaking as a reader to goes to a lot of author websites, I really appreciate knowing just a tiny bit about the author. No need to give your life away, but just a little bit is nice and friendly.

Overall, I think it is a really nice website for a author, and you have acheived your goal of sober and unpretentious. It is even a bit somber, with the black background. I think a little less somber would be good. How about a friendlier font, with some serifs? On the "Sharing" and "Beta-readers" page, how about some colorful graphics of something instead of the colored fonts?

By the way, I think you should get the logo C.B. described.

Great job!
