Now, even when it sprinkles for 5 minutes everything starts to flood. There's nowhere for the water to go.
The apocalypse will continue with all of the insects that will flourish over the summer because of it. It's gonna be baaaaaad...

Not raining much where I'm at, but there's a whole lot of gloomy skies. I hope the apocalypse passes us by.

Over Memorial Day weekend we were in Hays county where all of the flash flooding happened. We saw where the water had been up over the road but little more than that.
What a lot of people don't understand is that that area has rocky/sandy soil that doesn't absorb or hold much water. When the rain comes that quickly it has nowhere to go. All of the rivers there have posted flash flood notices. It can be a scary place with just a little rain more or less what happened there.


I get into the office about 6am. I skirted most of the issues that later traffic had problems with.
