The Black Stallion by Walter Farley

I must have read this book a hundred times as a child. In fact, I may be the only kid in my hometown that ever got to read it,as often as I checked it out.

This is the book that started it all, my life-long love of horses, my husband (AKA my very own cowboy), and a country life. I will always be thankful to Walter Farley and Marguerite Henry for putting me on that road, broken bones not withstanding.
