30.2 - Jonquil’s task: Takin’ It to the Streets
I will claim Option 1 twice. Read a book set in a place that you now consider, or once considered, magical.
At the Water's Edge is set on Loch Ness. If the misty, wild Scottish highlands aren’t magical enough, there is always the magical mystery of the Loch Ness monster.
**Sara Gruen is a GRA
The Three-Body Problem is magical setting x 3. Firstly it is set in China (which at least historically could be considered a magical far away land), another major setting is inside a video game that feels like real life (as a child I would have loved to live inside some magical video games), finally one section is set on another planet (I can’t imagine a more magical and foreign place than another planet where the sun doesn’t set for months).
**GRA ticket for Liu Cixin claimed previously
50.1 - Ms Anderson's task: Three Cheers for Equality!
Book 1: Read a book with the genre GLBT as a main page genre. I'll Give You the Sun
