Option 1: I read
by Winston Graham. The character who fits the task is Demelza who, as a teenager, is rescued by the main character, Ross, from a fair, hired as his kitchen maid (with no experience), has to learn to bake and cook and clean from the other servants (who are lazy), and after several years she becomes so good at housekeeping that she essentially runs the household. And then she and Ross get married. Dakimel approved the book here.Option 4: I read
