Magdelanye | 2852 comments the days of reading in the grass are here!! It may be a bit harder to concentrate with so much happening in the surround, so what's grabbing your attention now?

Ellen (elliearcher) | 1373 comments Well, it turned suddenly cold & wet here in the Bronx. I'm towards the beginning of Karl Ove Knausgaard's My Struggle: Book 4. For some reason, I've loved this work, the first 3 volumes at least, and so far I'm completely drawn in to volume 4.

What's everybody/anybody else reading?

Magdelanye | 2852 comments just finished the bone clocks
read a couple of reviews
..some folks seem disgruntled with it...the fantasy element mainly cannot seemingly be contained by a certain kind of reader who would rather have the author conform to type. I found it compelling, even when I hated the characters.
I'll be interested in your take when you do get to it.
I'm still thinking of ways to open this group up.
suggestions?

Ellen (elliearcher) | 1373 comments I was wondering the same thing. But I have no ideas. I would miss it, well, I'd miss you. What happened to Ice?

message 5: by Magdelanye, Senior Flight Attendant (new)

Magdelanye | 2852 comments been wondering that too...maybe he's on holidays
what I was thinking re the group is to contact the members and remind them of their membership and then see if everyone would invite appropriate friends to join.
I have been waiting to get a new device so as to tackle our poor library, but waiting is a poor action. I did have some fun reading old posts.
what do you think?

Magdelanye | 2852 comments Ellie...hope the weather has brightened and heated up there by now. I am reading outside every day now.
waiting for your thoughts re revivifying this group. and I have a question

didn't we have a topic dedicated to the library? Do remember some extensive discussions

Ice Bear (neilar) | 838 comments Wandering around my tbr list, work is busy and have taken 1 day's holiday in amongst the public ones. Reading my third book on a kindle. Is it me or are these copies less proof read than the tangible versions.
