I've been collecting this series for a while now, and I'm a huge fan, which is why I wanted to host this theme month. I started collecting the numbered series a good few years back now and I simply could not stop until I'd collected them all. So, my collection has the full 73 numbered titles, and a few of the more recent non-numbered books too (which I also plan to buy all of eventually, I'm a sucker for a collection!).

Aside from OCD making me want to catch 'em all, this to me is a fine list of recommended SF and fantasy titles. This series really showed me the light as far as SF goes; I've read quite a few and it's very rare I've been disappointed with a title on this list. Even if you aren't collecting the series, I'd imagine that if you're into SF and fantasy, chances are you'll have read a few titles off the list.

So, is anyone else collecting the masterworks?

I'm collecting them but not to the OCD level. My bookshop does nice special offers on the Masterworks , selling certain ones for 4 euro at certain times. I'd say I've about 30 at this stage. Its a bit of a random collection.

I think the only ones I have in this edition are A Scanner Darkly and Grass (I think it was - by Sheri S. Tepper). I do however have some of the others in different editions :) Would be awesome to have the entire numbered collection one day though!
