Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) Here is some arbitrary advice from the internet that I say take with a grain of salt: people remember short titles. Three words is good, but a single word punch is best. The only problem there is finding a word that hasn't already been used.

How about Losing (dude's name)?

A Vicious Cycle

I like this a lot.

Alina Valentine | 17 comments When I was designing my cover i really wished for a shorter title. The thing is that single word has become very common and I don't want my title to get lost...

How about:
Simply Irresistible
Irresistible
Losing Jackson
Five reasons to Fall...

Vicious Cycle sounds great but there is a Vicious Cycle by Katie Ashley novel coming out this month..

Yes, I just searched for other books and my punch appears to have been stolen.

What is the guy's name? Perhaps we can work with that! PS. I hope his name is Micheal.

His name is Jackson. My heroine is very commitment phobic...

I don't know if this is something or not, but I know bikes have 'em. And if it feels like she's imprisoned by this guy, chains might have a second meaning. (Just going with the one-word title like Christina recommended.)

There might be something there...

[edit] so sorry, wrong poster's name!

Some random mixes with words mentioned. Some are nonsense, just typing everything I can think of to brainstorm ideas.

Taming Jackson
Chained Jackson
Sadie: Chained
The Chains of Jackson
Jackson's Chains
Sadie's Cycle
Kickstand Love
The Reluctant Biker
Reluctant Chains
The Cycle of Love
Reluctant Cycle
Broken Chain
Cycle of the Chains
Chained: Cycle
The Cycle: Vicious
Sadie Cycle and the Amazing Wonderbike of Action Jackson

I like that as well. I am pretty amazing... even when I didn't suggest that! :D

Five Reasons to Fall actually was my favourite so far.

Whoops. Sorry about that Ade. And yes, you have some good ones too, C.B.

Some of these may have already been used one or two million times... but here's a few suggestions:

Burning Rubber
Peeling Out
Doing Wheelies
Boomerang Biker
Chrome Horses
Exhausted

Owen O'Neill (owen_r_oneill) | 1509 comments I'm going to vote for "Losing Jackson". Short and to the point (or maybe pointed). Memorable.

message 17: by Alina (new)

Alina Valentine | 17 comments Thanks for the suggestions! It really helped to hear your ideas. I think I might use Taming the Biker over Five Reasons to Fall, just because I already made a cover for the first! :)

At first I read those last two as: Chrome Horses, Exhausted. : )

Chrome Horses, Exhausted would be a pretty awesome title for nearly anything.
