What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

The book is about a little boy who loves his rose on the moon? I think he travels everywhere and learns lessons, for eg, works hard and nearly dies of thirst but learns to appreciate the water because he worked so hard for it, very vague memories of it but remember it was a lovely book and strange like me :) any ideas?

The Little Prince, it is French and by a French author called Antoine Ex-something I'll look it up for you
