2015 Reading Challenge [Closed] discussion

I chose this book just by its cover. I walked into a bookstore and the cover of this book really caught my eye with the weird plant curling around the words ANNIHILATION in big letters.



I'd never heard of Jeff VanderMeer before or the Southern Reach trilogy (I didn't even know this was the first in a trilogy when I picked it up), and reading the back now that week 24 is approaching, I'm really excited for it! I was scared that I was going to choose something that I would hate, but the plot looks right up my alley.

I heard some good things about this one, it's in my to read list :)

I was just reading this morning too that Annihilation won the Nebula award for best novel! So now I'm even more eager to start this. :D

Yes, I saw this too :)
I never tried a book which won a Nebula (maybe I read one?), so I don't know if the choices are good or not. We'll see!
