Give yourself time to read, don't try to wait till the last minute and end up just skimming a book. Please give the writer's the same consideration you would expect from those who reviewed your books.

I have messaged them on your behalf A.K., just in case. But as I'm modding 5 individual review rounds right now, as well as dealing with the rest of the group, my own job, writing and family I'd appreciate it if members sorted out minor problems like this themselves.

I sent a message to A.K. asking for his email address. I apologize, I thought I had sent my book to all my reviewers.

Sorry, I fear I made the same mistake. I requested his contact info and preferred format, just now. Ouch!

Replied. However, i can not make it in time, two books beside all of my real life stuff. I will be late but i will finish them.

Not a problem A K, but in future, if you come across a similar situation, could you send them a reminder yourself? We're all busy people.
I would list what's on my personal plate as an example, but I haven't got the time. ;-)

Sanctions for not completing your obligations can include being blacklisted from future groups, besides the hefty guilt for upsetting a fellow author who is just like you.

Let me know if you have a problem with getting your reviews in on time. We all have problems that crop up unexpectedly, I don't need details, just a time frame for completion.
I'm not an ogre, but if you don't get in touch I'll assumed you have abandoned us.

And that makes me cranky.

Thanks Florian, this group is galloping towards a full house, the only person I haven't heard from is Susan, everyone else is working hard to finish their reviews.

It seems that we have had a few issues with getting book to people, yes ultimately it is the responsibility of the author to get their book to the reviewer, but reminder or two is always useful.
If you are having trouble getting a book, I can always be asked to give a prod, it usually works.

My sincere apologies to the members of the group; I have been away in Europe and only just now got my internet re-established. I have my reviews for the remaining books underway right now and will post them very soon, I promise! Once again, my apologies for the long delay but family matters called me away from my routine.

Hmmm. I understand. It's off putting for a first time experience in a review group, not getting all of the promised reviews, but I hate to see anyone black listed.

You are very welcome to do both Daniel.
Unfortunately, I don't have a crystal ball and the person who didn't complete your review signed up jut as you did.If people have a genuine problem, I'm happy to extend deadlines, problems drop into everyone's lives.

Re-blacklisting, sometimes I don't have any other options. If they have done it to someone once, they could do it again.
I'd really would be kicking myself if they did it to people in another round when they already had a non-completion track record.
