C, thank you for the book recommendations and for joining our group. It has indeed been lagging these last few months as I've gotten over-extended and have been juggling lots of work (writing) related projects.
I'd love to see it flourish but need some help to get there. If anyone is interested in being a moderator/co-leader, please get in touch!
C--what types of discussion/interaction are you most interested in?
Be well,
-J.P.

Hi DianeAlice,
Yes,I had noticed the lack of activity here, but my own group Clean,Secular/Non Religious,Reads
https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...
is not very active either, so I was hoping that some new posts might draw some interest, because I think this group is needed for those of us with similar likes. White-knuckle, pulse-pounding suspense without a lot of profanity, graphic sex, or gruesome gore!
I hope you do try and enjoy some of the titles. :]

Hi J.P. you are most welcome, and I wish you much success with this group.
It would be great to see lots of readers stop by with title suggestions of great suspense reads, that meet this group's criteria.
You asked "what types of discussion/interaction are you most interested in?"
I love reading 'good' book reviews not those that just say they love/hate a book with no reason's why, those reviews are totally useless to everyone!
I want to know 'WHY' a person enjoyed a book or didn't, because then I can have a better idea of if the book would appeal to me, or if it has elements that I choose to avoid.
I enjoy reading when someone has discovered a new favorite author, or found one that they will avoid. In other words sharing their reading experiences.
I always read the synopsis for a book, and the 1-2 reviews ..plus several 4-5 star reviews.
I have read reviews that made a book sound so appealing that I immediately put it on reserve at my library, and have also read reviews that described elements that I don't like, so I have removed books from my TBR list or deleted them from my Kindle, such as continuous profanity-'F' bombs-especially, graphic sex or gore, ect.
So like to read what everyone just finished reading, and is reading now, and what other genres they enjoy.
Best Wishes and Happy Reading Everyone!

Clean, Page-Turning, White-Knuckle reads... without vulgar language, explicit sexual situations, grisly/gory mutilation, serial killers, or child abusers/molesters, oh and no psychopathic stalkers/serial killers, either!
I know this is a real challenge, because so far, the only books that have ever come close to this for me, have been medical thrillers,ie.Coma,Hot Zone, and The Demon In The Freezer.I would rate them PG, except PG-13 for Hot Zone because the description of what Ebola does to the body is quite gruesome.
Amish-themed suspense is quite safe and G or PG.
Well also,
I am getting ready to try some by Nora Roberts
P.S. Sorry but I really don't do book clubs/reading challenges, ect, because I only read what I want, when I want.
Also, I apologize if this is in the wrong folder but I was only given 4 folder options! I should have clicked "all topics" and put this into the Introductions folder, please movie it if you wish.
