Mei (meijey) | 3810 comments For controlling elements, the Vampire Academy or Bloodlines series. I haven't thought of much books aside from those.

message 152: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Oh yeah! The Vampire Academy is perfect. Thanks Mei!

The house of night series has main characters that can each control a different element.

Hi, just wondering, do re-reads count?

message 156: by Abi (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments Lilith wrote: "Hi, just wondering, do re-reads count?"

Rereads are fine, but if you've added a review for it already, you'll either need to write a new one or add some on. :)

Storm (Elementals, #1) by Brigid Kemmerer Spirit (Elemental, #3) by Brigid Kemmerer Spark (Elementals, #2) by Brigid Kemmerer Secret (Elemental, #4) by Brigid Kemmerer Sacrifice (Elemental, #5) by Brigid Kemmerer

This series is a good one for contrlling elements ☺

message 158: by Tati (new)

Tati Would I be right in guessing that the MC in Spark controls fire?

That looks more yellow to me, but this edition - I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson is orangey -yellow so it would count for fire. :)

Oh, duhhh! I always just considered that version a dark yellow but the border line between that and orange is iffy, so... Thank you!

message 167: by Abi (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments Yeah, its like an orangey yellow, but its fine. :)

You could use it for earth - Read books with trees on the cover. There's a little one at the bottom. :)

Sorry for the questions. Yesterday's Gone Season One by Sean Platt would this count for blue or brown cover?

You could either have it as brwn or use this edition - Yesterday's Gone Episode 1 (Yesterday's Gone, #1) by Sean Platt for brown clothing.

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments Ashley wrote: "Are we able to use Pretty Dancer by Cora Graham as a book with a white cover? Does it have enough white?"

There's not enough white on it to count for that, but the girl on the cover has Brown hair so it would count for earth. :)

Ivy (alwaysivy) What exactly is the point of earning points? What am I striving towards other than personal satisfaction? Am I competing with someone or does it have to do with if I'm part of a team?

message 181: by Connie (new)

Connie (sunstormsandthunderclouds) | 3978 comments Ivy, in the Elemental challenge you're sort of competing with everyone and it's mainly a personal goal thing to try and inspire yourself to read more/to add a bit of excitement!

The main part is just having fun while trying to get your reading pile down. Competing against other people by trying to get the most points, usually motivates people into reading more.

I think that's only about 40% of white, so it wouldn't count for that one, sorry! :(

When we post on the Reviews thread it doesn't ask for a page amount so I don't think so.

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) Hello Abbie! I just want to ask where can I put Forever Too Far (Too Far, #3) by Abbi Glines ? i don't know which category will this fall.

message 199: by Tati (new)

Tati It's a matter of looking at the other covers:

Rush of Love - Vereint (Too Far #3) by Abbi Glines - this would work for green clothing (Earth)

Amor Sem Limites (Too Far, #3) by Abbi Glines - this would work for white clothing (Air)

Zacznijmy od nowa (Za daleko, #3) by Abbi Glines - this would work for the windswept hair (Air)
