Here's how it goes. I write the first sentence of a story. Someone else adds another sentence, and so on. It's a story that never ends! Just make it make sense, and keep it clean.

I'll start.

It was queer, the way the performers gestured to one another after the show.

It was almost like... sign language, Rosie realized.

They signed fast, almost furiously, with their motions accompanied by glares and faces that made her wince.

They started moving, fast, towards the circus exits.

Rosie frowned and snuck after them, careful not to trip over the cords on the ground.

She felt a hand grab her arm.

Her skin prickled at the touch.

She turned to see who had stopped her.

She was face-to-face with a giant, scary clown.

Rosie dropped the hand that had a second ago covered her mouth in shock and let out a relieved giggle.

"Armondo!" she whispered harshly, swatting his hand away.

"My sweet, what are you doing?" he whispered, grinning that dopey grin of his.

She rolled her eyes, but smiled in spite of herself.

"Is it really any of your business?

She flipped her hair over her shoulder, turning her back on the clown, and tried to catch a glimpse of the other performers.

If they followed the plan, she should have a clear path to the main entrance.

"Follow me," she whispered to Armondo without turning around.

She slowly edged backwards, giving the necessary cues to Benji and Lola.

If only Armondo wasn't wearing his clown shoes... she could only hope he wouldn't trip.

Out of the corner of her eye, she could see two masked men approaching, and hoped with all her might that this would finish their little 'dispute'.

"Rosie," Armondo's voice was puzzled. "Are you sure . . . "

"I'm sure," she whispered. "Trust me."
