01. 'J' is for July: Read a book that starts with 'J' or a book whose author's first or last name starts with 'J'.
02. Member of the Month ~ D.G.: D.G. has been a member of the RRRC since July 2009. Please read a book from any of D.G.'s shelves or a book published in 2009 or a book published in July of any year.
03. Featured Author Challenge (FAC) author ~ Maggie Osborne: Read one book written by Maggie Osborne or any author with her first or last name.
You may also read a book set at a resort or in the mountains. You may read a book by an author whose first or last name is Margaret or George (or St. George, of course). You can also read a book that has an MC that serves as a president (of anything). You can also read any book published in 2004, or has a character currently in retirement or has retired from one career but moved on to something new (i.e. retired military).
04. National Blueberry Month: July is National Blueberry month in the US. The blueberry is also the official fruit in the states of Maine, New Jersey and North Carolina. It is also considered the official provincial berry of Nova Scotia.
Read a book that is set in Maine, New Jersey or North Carolina; or a book set in Canada; or read a book that has blue on either the cover or in the title.
Meet Me at the Beach by V.K. Sykes
OR
Not So New In Town by Michele Summers
05. National Hot Dog Month: July is National Hot Dog month in the US. A hot dog is a processed meat often eaten during spectator sports games. A person is also considered a hot dog when doing crazy, often physical, stunts for attention or just being a ‘show-off.’
Read a book with the word Hot or Dog in the title; or has a dog or hot dog on the cover; or read a book that has a sports theme; or read a book where a character does crazy stuff just for the attention.
06. Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day (July 1): Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day gives you the chance to create a new flavor of ice cream. Maybe, your new creation will be a hit, and become wildly popular.
Read a book where someone is eating ice cream or ice cream is on the cover; or where the MC is creative or artistic; or a book where food plays a major theme; or read a ‘wildly popular’ book.

OR

07. World UFO Day (July 2): World UFO Day seeks to get governments to fess up to the existence of UFOs. Many people believe that UFOs from outer space have already visited us, and a big, government cover-up is hiding the facts from the public. The date for this special day was chosen because it is the date of the Roswell Incident, a historical event leading to wide speculation and belief that aliens have indeed visited us.
Read a science fiction, fantasy or PNR book; or a book where there is (or believed to be) a government conspiracy or cover-up; or a book set in New Mexico (where the Roswell Incident took place); or read a book with the letters U, F, O somewhere in the title.

OR
The Skypirate by Justine Davis
08. Bastille Day (July 14): Bastille Day commemorates modern France and French democracy. Bastille Day symbolizes the end of the constitutional monarchy, and the beginning of the democratic republic of France. To Frenchmen, Bastille Day is viewed as their liberation.
Read a book set in France; or a book where a monarchy plays a major role or the MC is part of the aristocracy (has a title); or read a book where a character celebrates a personal freedom (out of jail, divorce, starting over in a new town, new job); or read a book where there is any kind of celebration of a national holiday.
09. Amelia Earhart Day (July 24): Amelia Earhart Day honors a famous aviation pioneer who broke many early aviation records. Amelia Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan, were lost during a difficult leg of the journey towards Howell Island in the Pacific.
Read a book about a pilot or where there is travel by plane or a plane on the cover; or read a book set in the Pacific Islands; or a book where the MC is a pioneer (or considered an expert) in their profession or just loves their job.
