Savannah | 312 comments Do I even own a memoir? I own a lot of non-fiction but I don't know if any of them would be considered as a memoir.

Looks like I'm headed over to Listopia! :-)

Thanks Sylvia. It's been really relaxing. Waking up when I want and not being on a schedule is fantastic.

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin | 695 comments Ok I'm reading my Leonard Nimoy book and almost finished. It came Thursday and didn't think I would be able to read or finish it with this headache all week but I'm pushing through. They don't have the new re issue picture of the book but here is the old one I Am Spock by Leonard Nimoy

Francine Coleman | 1 comments Down the Rabbit Hole Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny by Holly Madison

This book by Holly Madison is my book of the week number 26. I wrote a quick review/what I thought about the book. Overall I did enjoy this book. It was quite entertaining.
I cannot lie I was very curious as to what she would write about her time as Hefner's girlfriend and her time in the mansion.
I'm glad that it was not just a trashy expose story.
There was a lot of good gossip and smack talking, but towards the end of the story her words began to take on a different tone.
She started showing some emotional maturity and insight.
By the end of the book I was rooting for her. I wanted her to be a success and for all of her dreams to come true. She certainly paid her dues in her younger years. I know that she has received a lot of flak for what she has written in this book. She has been called in out right liar by some.
I suppose it's up to the reader to decide if it's all a lie, or exaggerated, or if it's the truth seen through her eyes and felt by her. The latter is what I believe.
Quite honestly I enjoyed this book because it was composed of so many interesting layers. From the beginning until the end she spoke with an incredibly smart and engaging voice.
