Liz (liz_the_librarian) The Summer Reading Challenge has begun! What book will you be reading first to go towards your summer reading goal? If you haven't registered for the challenge yet, do it now! https://virginia.evanced.info/infopea...
You can even double count your 52 Book choices for the summer reading challenge. And even better, you only have to read ONE Book for the adult summer reading challenge to be qualified for prizes!

So share what you're reading this summer!

EDIT: Next week, there is a "Halfway Through" get together. Join me at the Central Library from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, June 30 to meet other 52 Book participants and to learn how to harness the power of the internet to meet all your reading needs. Get more info and register for the event here: http://bit.ly/1J0IGRq

Julie | 130 comments Last week I finished The Infinite Sea and Allegiant, and I think I'm going to start reading The Help this week.

Pattie Babbitt My first official book for summer reading was "The Vacationers." Perfect summer beach read...not much substance to it at all, just a family on vacation in Mallorca. I am about to start "Little Bee" by Chris Cleave. I heard it is fantastic. The Vacationers by Emma Straub Little Bee by Chris Cleave

I finished Alias Hook and Eureka! Discovering Your Inner Scientist yesterday. I'm moving on to Phantom Hitchhikers and Other Urban Legends which looks like it will be a fun book. But I'm having problems deciding on my second book: A Thousand Pieces of You ? Stepdog ? Or Bitter Greens ? Ever have so many books to read you can't decide between them all?

All the time, Joanna! I keep adding things to my list, too, and then skipping over other books I want to read to get to the latest and greatest. I've tried to create a reading order for myself in the past, but I never follow it. I've given up on trying to organize my reading habits. Best of luck deciding on your next few!
