Emily | 4 comments I started a series of books in the early 90's. They were a pulp scifi series probably written in the 80's

Things I'm sure of: she was some sort of soldier or In some sort of service. They had some life extending treatment or tech that had to be reapplied. There was a humanoid human race. There was one male of the other species that she ended up linked to in some way. He provided some sort of connection/healing/life extension through the palms of his hands. The treatment he gave her made it so the tech of her people was rejected by her body.

Things I think I remember: she was a buxom redhead. The alien male was young and aged quickly. He was some sort of leader/savior/healer for his race. The alien race was subjugated or treated as inferiors. Their relationship was illegal/illicit on both sides. I think her name may have been Mara or something like that. I believe her name wadi the title of the books.

A few guesses - Warrior's Woman by Johanna Lindsey?
Crystal Flame by Jayne Ann Krentz?

Emily, is it more romance or science fiction?
