Jim | 6484 comments Now that pitchers and catchers have reported it is time to start thinking about baseball. At least those of you who care.

My one and only prediction to date is that despite losing 101 games last year, and not going out an acquiring much talent this off season that the Chicago Cubs will not finish last in their division this year.

I hope that the latest PED scandal gets over quickly, and we can just enjoy the game on the field.

ms.petra (mspetra) yea! BASEBALL!! Rockies made NO moves over the winter so I have mixed feelings about this season. We had so many injuries last year! I am just looking forward to green grass, shorts, sun, and my boys of summer =)

Go Tigers! Friggin' Giants...

Ricky | 45 comments After 20 odd years removed from their former glory days, battling in one of the toughest divisions in the AL, the Blue Jays are finally relevant again, on paper at least. As for the NL, Go Cubs.

And Gail.

Jim | 6484 comments That's right, the thunder from down under is too. My apologies Gail.

Probably a wise choice, when rooting for the Cubbies.

A friend of mine was recently in America. She wore her Red Sox jacket and was surprised by the strong support and animosity aimed her way. I don't imagine a cubs jacket would create such furor.

Phil | 11837 comments No furor. Just sympathetic yet pitying smiles.

"Ah, yes. There goes another poor Cubs fan."

Exactly. The response would be pathos.

Works for me! :)

Ricky | 45 comments So Charly, kow many times do you expect to make it out to Fenway this season? It is a mythic stadium with great fans. Went there for a game with my son and family a couple of years ago. We had wonderful experience. Kalish had a good game and my son even remembered him from his days with AA Portland Seadogs...

Dennis I got my Sox tickets for July this year against the Yankees. I try to make it home for at least one game/series per year. I remember back in college (mid 90's) we could get tickets in the bleachers for $20...not anymore!

I'm spoiled since moving to Pittsburgh fives years ago. PNC Park is one of the most beautiful parks you will go to and the tickets are inexpensive. Mainly because the product they put on the field is poor but nonetheless...

Ricky | 45 comments We were about 20 feet behind the Pesky Pole seeing directly into home plate. If it wasn't for the high traffic, it would have been the greatest spot. Fun nonetheless.

Jim | 6484 comments The Cubs are only the third loser in their division.
