Edward Fahey (edward_fahey) | 71 comments When great lines come to me I want to rush to Facebook and share them with friends. But my stuff has been known to spread through the internet very quickly. So my lady friend / partner has suggested quite sternly that I fight off that urge. That I should keep it all to myself until it is actually published within a book.
Any thoughts?

Renee Marski | 26 comments Posting some things are ok but you dont want to post every line you think of. Do you have an author's page? You can post things there and it would reach your readers and make them interested.

Edward Fahey (edward_fahey) | 71 comments Actually, since lines have actually been lifted, I have developed the habit of emailing them to my partner, who saves them. This keeps them intact with dates they were sent.
In the meantime I can always share great lines from earlier books and keep fans salivating as I tell them what is happening in the current story, while not actually posting them.
And yes, I do have author's pages in several places, but pretty much ignore them. My page for GoodReads is the only one that enables me to post my own quotes.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Okay, V.M., I had never heard of Hootesuite until you mentioned it. I joined and have just used Hootesuite to send "spam" over 3 social networks with one shot. You've created a monster, and now it's out of control. I hope you can live with yourself.

HKelleyB (hkelleyb-editor) | 31 comments Edward: If you want to share great lines from your books with the world, try #1LineWed on Twitter.

The best lines are re-tweeted by others. And, it is good, free promotion for your book(s).
