And, I suppose, if you're insane enough to make up one person, you're insane enough to make up his girlfriend and his whole life scenario? She always said that the kids in school said it was an accident but then he said that it was a tumor. But no one mentioned her involvement until the doctor? Besides Never Never this is my first ever Tarryn Fisher book and I think I am hooked. I absolutley loved her writing, it was beautiful, and I love, love, love dark weird stuff that is written well.

I was just reading the synopsis for that one v, looks like my kind of story. Tarryn Fisher comes up with some pretty unique and interesting storylines, that's for sure.

That's a good question heather! I guess we'll never know which part is real. I tend to think her revenge actions were real. She may have her own happily ever after!

I started last night, but will pop back in when I've read more :)

I read the first book in the Opportunist series but it's been awhile and I don't remember being all that impressed. I'm thinking I may not have given it enough of a chance though.. may need to re-read it and then the other two now.

For some reason Leah Raeder's writing style (author of Black Iris) also reminds me of Tarryn Fisher.

Exactly! I read 'after notes' or whatever they call it (not epilogue) where Taryn spoke about inspirations for story parts and she said the little Mo scene was from something she saw on youtube. I think I actually saw what she was talking about. It was absolutely horrible. It brought the vigilante out in her. I totally get that. So she wrote about it.

I read that too - and I remember 'hearing' about the video being on youtube, but it was something I know I wouldn't have been able to handle seeing. Next thing you know, I'd go all vigilante too!

I couldn't wait for book 3! I wanted his POV sooo bad! It was as good as the others. Even though it's essentially the same story they all felt like different stories.

Since we are on the subject of the horrible video I tried to look it up. There are so many of them that I immediately changed my mind. I looked at my own little toddler, who wants nothing more than to make me happy and be loved in return...and I just can't imagine how someone could do that. Even though what Tarryn Fisher said about she felt she HAD to watch, for him, and I can understand that completely. I couldn't.

It's like you can't seem to understand that it is real so you keep watching because you can't believe your eyes.
