Good luck with the contest though.

Hi there! Thanks for the well wishes :) Mind me asking specifically do you mean? Are you talking about the cover photo?

It means we have to reformat the text rather than submit them in standard manuscript format.

Very true. I've nothing against them, and might consider entering if I had works available to fit the theme. But I did have a similar reaction to R.F.G. It wouldn't be too difficult to reformat as needed, but it would be easier for authors if standard manuscript format and traditional book covers were accepted.

Okay, the way the contest wants stories, I'd have to completely reformat whatever book I submitted to match the site's preferred treatment, which is at odds with the way I formatted for print and e-copy.
It would be far simpler for me to submit an epub than jump through the hoops, as I already have software I use to format, I can already get print copies of my work, and I also have a decent idea of how to write a book.
What would help me is someone to watch the tiny demon for a few hours a week so I could get more work done (she's watching with a snarl even as I type this), now that would be a prize to jump through hoops for.
