Jordan Wareham | 9 comments Were all fans off action/adventure novels; if we weren't we wouldn't be in this group! What I want to know, purely because I'm curious, has anyone wrote, or currently writing, a novel? And, is your novel an action/adventure novel or does it fall into a different genre?

Feliks (dzerzhinsky) I've long been in the habit of writing short, high-quality fiction and disseminating it for free but am now switching to writing some quick action/thriller crap to make some filthy moola, yes. I don't expect to ever get a sale but I'm doing it anyway because it just feels more American to make every single aspect of my existence turn a dollar whenever possible.

Neil Russell | 8 comments I've written 3 novels in my Rail Black series and have a fourth in progress. I'm also in process on a YA action/adventure book and about halfway through another manuscript, both of which could become series of their own.

If you're interested you can find out more at my website.

W.E. Lawrence | 2 comments I released Guardian of Paradise this past October. It's action/adventure laced with heavy romance

Andrew Watts | 5 comments I wrote The War Planners. I turned it into a 4-part serial. I published the first book in January and released all 4 together in May.

Jordan Wareham | 9 comments It's something I may look into in the future, once I'm older. How do you go about getting published? Is it as simple as sending your novel to a publisher?

message 8: by Jordan (new)

Jordan Wareham | 9 comments Cheers, I'll keep that in mind. I don't have a story plot at the moment so it may be a long time before my name is on the front cover of a book ;)

Alexander Engel-Hodgkinson (nexus_engel) | 46 comments I'd published an action/comedy/mystery back in April as an e-book called The Tea Party Affair. I'm kinda proud of it despite it being a minor novella written and developed over a three-week period. It was a fun experiment.

I'm writing two more stories at once: the third volume in my Final Apocalypse Saga series. I'm about halfway through it already. It's more of a straight-up dystopian/cyberpunk action series with plenty of cartoonishly bloody violence and over-the-top swearing to go around. I've been having a blast writing these so far. I can't wait to get this one finished. :)

Brian January (brianjanuary) | 28 comments I just published my fifth novel, "Iron", (actually two novellas bundled together) in the Park Skarda-April Force action adventure series (I call them adventure thrillers) and I'm working on a second edition of my first in the series "Emerald" (I found a couple of mistakes--hey, I'm only human!). I'm a big fan of action movies and books--fun, entertaining reads!

If money is your goal, you should probably search Cracked.com for articles on writing erotic fiction or http://lessonsinsmut.com/
The latter said he was making quite a good living writing short erotica for the Kindle market.

Jim (jimmaclachlan) If I ever publish a book, it will be on horses & farms for fiction authors. They all seem to get their info from the TV & have no common sense. Goodkind has Zed riding in a robe (no underwear) for days on a borrowed saddle & horse with no problems at all. The horse was a perfect little car with hooves. Jordan has an archer stashing his bow under his horse's girth. Yuck! Too stupid.
