Space Opera Fans discussion

Apparantly, the SyFy channel is planning a series based on Hyperion by Dan Simmons. The blurb I read didn't mention timing.

That would be so awesome. I think a series like Battlestar Galactica would work. They need to create it with an absolute end in mind, not a "we think it'll last five or six seasons."

It's such a great book. Maybe SyFy can get the people who did Battlestar Galactica (screen writers, directors, casting directors, etc).

Interestingly, Bradley Cooper is apparently involved in this adaptation of Hyperion. It should be a pretty awesome miniseries.
