If you would like to, I don't see why not. I will add you as a moderator, New_User. Thanks for volunteering.

OK Mods, there's a bit of an admin problem that I would like to point out. Now I don't want to blow this out of proportion but I still would like to have it addressed all the same.
There are some books that I had placed on the shelves on or about 4th and 5th April. I have noticed today, that they were deleted and then added back by a member under their name showing a date of several weeks later. Now I’m hoping that this is just an error when it was realized that there were a duplication of books.
But members need to be aware of a couple of things:
When you are adding a book – the system does tell you if it has already been added. If it has already been added -do not add yours as it will only cause a duplication.
If a dupe exists – the book that was added last should be the one to be deleted.
Thanks

There shouldn't be any duplicates since the system does inform you if the book has already been added

i hope it wasn't being done maliciously - but i have noticed 5 of my books that have been delted just within the past week.
I think that if people are removing books, then the option to let people add books to the shelf should be taken away. If a person wants to add a book, then they should contact Danielle or one of the moderators and we add the books.
Now, I've tested this yesterday. I've look to see if two books that I have added on the shelf showed that they were added and it did. But, one book, although it showed that it was added already, the book could be added again. I think because the ISBN numbers were different. The book was the same. I have only typed the books name.
Justine, if you don't mind, email me and tell me what books you have added that was deleted.

Okay, this is what I think is happending to books that was added by one person and is now seen as being added by another person.
If someone edit the book that you have added, then it will show as if they have added the book.
For example:
Say, I add the book, John Doe Is Cute to the group on 05-04-09 and doesn't assign it any shelves, besides stating that I have read that book and Danielle comes on 05-15-09 and assign the book to BWWM, etc. I believe that Goodreads will switch us up and show that she has added the book, instead of me adding it.
This is the only thing that I can see as happening, unless someone is really being cruel and removing books and adding it back, so that their name will show.
If a book is already on the group and a person try to add it, it will show that the book is already added to the group.
To save confusing, I think that if you see a book that was added to the group and feel that it should be listed under a certain shelf that the original poster didn't add it to, then get permission to edit the book. Come on this thread and state which book you want to edit and what shelf you want to assign it to.
If that's not going to work for anyone. Then how about no books be assigned shelves, beside the standard ones. Read, Currently Reading and To Read.
I believe that if someone rate a book on the group shelf, it will change the name as well.

SORRY ;(

But the mix-up makes more sense now, thanks for clearing that up, Arch. It would be a little bizarre if someone was actually going through the shelves deleting and adding, LOL. I wouldn't sweat it, guys.
I just want every one to be happy. I have added two books to the group and one book I've seen it under another member's name. It's no biggie.
Most like it, if you add a book, then that book is on your personal shelf. A person can go to your shelf and read your review and see your rating.
Is this fair ladies?
