Managing to polish off my 8th book of my third list, Lord of Chaos with a scant 11 minutes left in the challenge, my review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/....

That gives me 32 books read for this challenge.

Post-mortem: I remember picking up the first Tairen Soul book, Lord of the Fading Lands (and then reading the next four in the series) since I was somewhat embarrased that I was already half-way through what turned out to be my first list, and some people had yet to finish their first book. I now find myself regretting that decision and slotting them in for the second list, but oh well.

Biggest surprise: My Sister's Keeper (review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...), without a shadow of a doubt. I wasn't expecting anything like what the situation resolved into, and then the ending just delivers a huge punch that leaves you staggering.

Biggest disappointment: In Pursuit of Platinum: The Shocking Secret of World War II (review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...), since it had a good premise and then destroyed itself with a terrible storyline and an even worse resolution.

You're absolutely right Nicola. Well said. It's just that I put all this pressure on myself to get it done!! Silly really. I might have another look at it. I must say I love choosing the books. Brenda is so clever coming up with these challenges.Oh...and congrats on finishing.

Why don't you choose half the books that are in the challenge, see how you go with them, then go from there? Choose the half you want...

Congratulations on a fantastic effort Zoey...don't stress about not finishing though:) As long as you enjoyed your reading!

I didn't finish either... oh well. I'll polish off the last three in the next few weeks and try out for the next challenge (after the winter one!) Thanks again Brenda for constantly coming up with these fantastic challenges for us all!
