Brenda wrote: "Only a week to go now everyone!! YAY!! I for one can't wait...I have that many lined up to read in March!"

Me too. I went on Amazon yesterday and loaded the first four I want to read onto my kindle. I also have three of my favourite authors ordered from Book Depository and they should arrive any day.

message 104: by Steve (new)

Steve | 1031 comments I can't wait either! I have a document on my computer that tells me what I picked, and more importantly where I can find the books. (Either in meatspace or digitally)

So good that everyone's keen!

message 106: by Steve (new)

Steve | 1031 comments When I'm getting close to the end of a book (or a computer game), I will spend what seems like days (but is probably hours) agonizing over what I'm going to read/play next, which drives my wife batty.

It's excellent to have the next 12 books laid out in advance.

I keep paper lists too with little notes about where they are or where I am going to get them from. I also enjoy researching the best prices for each book. The planning is almost as good as the reading.

That's very true, then you just have to decide which one to read first!

Thanks for the recommendations, Sweet Ginger. I finally decided on reading Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China which is probably similar to the first book you recommended. It's about three generations of women so I think it covers all the criteria.
