I still don 't see my average rating on My Profile page and none of the authors in my tbr list have a Goodreads Author notation even though I know that some are. C..."
Yes, that's probably the problem, I assume you're using the goodreads app which doesn't show everything that's on the actual website. I suggest using a browser to get the full experience.

Now a new question
I have two books for the challenge that show one start date on its individual page and another on my Read List. The two books are Winter Witch and The Last Oracle. What can I do to correct this?

but most of them are not. Don't assume that just because an author is popular, they are GR authors. Some of them don't bother.

I have no idea whether it would be different with logging on through a kindle fire. I can see your average rating, right underneath the photo on your profile page, and when I pull up your TBR list, I see the asterisks by a number of the authors on the list.

One book between 80 -100 pages may be used for ONE 5 point task.
so, we are allowed only ONE 80-100 page book per season?

that's correct.

GR uses the page count from the most popular edition. to find it, go to the link of your book. On the right hand corner, it says other editions, click that. A list will appear. The book that is on the top of the list, is the most popular edition. Use that book for the page count.

It looks like the longer editions of the print book have at least an introduction by a noted historian, biographical details about Jane Austen, an analysis of the story, discussions of imitations, parodies, poems, and films inspired by the work, footnotes/endnotes to indicate how the story fits into the current affairs of the time, and suggestions for further reading. So if your audiobook includes all these features, you can claim a 500+ page big book ticket. If your audiobook edition includes just the story, it probably doesn't qualify for a BB ticket.

I read most of my books on my kindle. A number of them provide the page number as well as the location number. Can I use the page numbers from the Kindle Edition if it is listed. For example, the book I wanted to read for 20.2 shows 334 pages on the Kindle which meets the requirement but the paperback edition only shows 305 pages which does not meet the requirement.

No, we're going to have to stick to the regular e-book rules. It's all in a state of confusion right now, and we see some pretty wacky page length numbers coming up for ebooks, kindle or not.

Shayla Black (Goodreads Author) shows up on the book's page so, yes, you can claim a GRA ticket.

You will receive a message through GR.
You will receive a message through GR.

Sandy's correct. You'll receive a message through Goodreads. However, it will take a few days as we have to wait for categories to be selected first.

Wanda, if you'd like to participate in the Group Reads process, you need to change your GRs setting so you can accept messages.

It helps the GR community if you have a librarian correct it, but in a pinch including the info when you post should work. A link to a reference helps.

Thank you, Dlmrose. I'll always try to plan ahead and have a librarian add the information.

The book I linked to shows two ISBNs, one that is specific to my ARC so I will link to this when I post. I didn't even think to look at that. Thanks for your help.

I chose the identical page count option for this task. I got the counts from Goodreads since I didn't have the books in hand when I was planning which books to read for this task way back in February. Today, I just went back to double check the page counts before posting this task as completed, and the page count of one of the books has since been changed. Can I still get credit for the task? I ask because I know that if a genre appears on the main page when you choose to read a book and then disappears later, it is still acceptable to use it for a task that requires a certain genre, so I was hoping that might be the case with page numbers too.

Dee, the last digits of the ISBN 13 are not always the same as the 10 digit ISBN. I don't understand the logic of ISBNs, but do know from doing book ordering that there can be a difference.

You need to work with the actual page counts in the edition that you actually read. If the GR number is incorrect for the ISBN of the book you read, the best option is to ask a librarian to correct the information.
The genre thing is a bit different because it's uncontrollable - if a whole bunch of people shelve a book as something different, the genre that was there may get "demoted," and this is really beyond control. The page numbers, on the other hand, should be verifiable, by looking at the actual book you read.

it's a lot like when you find the book on GR with the perfect cover for a task, so you think you're good to go - but the copy at the library has a completely different cover. Frustrating...............

Who were the early finishers?
How many 30 point tasks will there be?
And- Is there anywhere that shows how
many seasons we've been in the challenge.
I was wondering how long I've been doing
it.
Thanks
