I’m going to be reading as part of the Rattle Reading Series celebrating poets from issue#38. There’ll be three of us—me, David Rosenthal, and Los Angeles Poet Laureate Eloise Klein Healy. I’ll read my poem Elegy for My 1958 Volkswagen among other poems.

It’s Sunday, March 3, at 5:00 pm. It’s should be over by 6:30, so it won’t eat up your evening. I wish more of you were close by. I’d love to see you there. The more friends in the audience, the better I read.

Trying to convice someone to go with me. I don't see well enough to drive at night. It is about an hour or so from where I live. :(

I had a ball at the reading. I loved finally meeting Eloise Klein Healey, the new Poet Laureate of Los Angeles. She's a good reader, and she read some terrific poems.

My daughter took pictures, but she says I make funny faces when I read. This is the least weird one, but I do rather look like I just swallowed a lemon.

Did you have a Greek chorus pipe in during your reading? If not, it's probably not Topo.
