Esther (BellatrixWitch) | 15 comments Can anyone help me with the Chicagoland vampires series?I asked for a new series and thanks to everyone on here I got a nice long list! .But I am on book3 and loving the series so far, but looking at the next couple of books some reviews are a little disappointed and I am about to ask is there a book that's not worth buying? Skipping ? . Sorry know it's a sin and I never have skipped a book in a series.it's not helping that I have got a little stress with Ethan! Sorry 

C.C. | 219 comments Not sure, I mean, I think you have to read the books in order. I know, the series definitely has its ups and downs(Got me frustrated too). It's the kind of series that that resolves a subplot but the main plot remains a continuation so I don't think you can skip.

Steph (lovessf) I wouldn't skip either, to be honest. Although frustrating, it's all important :)

MadameZelda Skipping a book is like skipping your teen years. While it may have been forgettable, I'm glad I went through it. Looking back, I would have missed out.

Ashley (ashleycw) Thats a great analaogy MadameZelda!

Yes, there is one book in particular that is frustrating, but its important. And it gets less frustrating later.

Yes. And, thankfully, you won't have to wait for the book that resolves the issue that had so many people upset when it happened. :)

No, I don't think skipping any of them is a good idea.

Esther (BellatrixWitch) | 15 comments Thanks , I never have done it before! I am a freak ! I keep thinking Ethan come on! I am getting a bit of a obsession with my fav characters . Maybe it's vamps with an E! Eric , Ethan!.

M.J. (pnr_booktok) | 2 comments I was soo close to skipping one or two but am glad I decided again it in the end. I couldn't put this series down but am struggling to get into the latest one. :(

Jacqueline Rhoades (jackierhoades) | 34 comments I was frustrated by those books, too, but in the end, I thought they followed a realistic progression. It was worth the wait and you don't have to wait as long as the rest of us to find out what happens next! Keep reading. Don't skip!

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 407 comments No, don't skip otherwise you won't be able to follow the storyline properly.

I got kinda frustrated with this series too... loved the first four books but was not happy with "the episode" and especially the speedy resolution. I'm still reading though...

Shadi ***save your ratings use disclaimers** (shadi71) I loved these books to begin with but unfortunately I was so upset but what the author did I dropped the series. from what I do know about it if you skipped you would be lost though.

Irene (irenemikhaylova) | 478 comments The books are quite packed with info, so may have difficulties figuring out why someone said or done something if you skip a book. Just read it and get going to next one - it's not like you have to wait a year for the next book at this point ;)

Allison | 247 comments This is a series you need to read in order. The reviews are probably disappointing just because of a plot twist. Have you read the Twilight series? I did not like New Moon at all, but the series would not read right without it.

Komal | 162 comments I agree, you'll miss out on a lot if you skip book 3. I wasn't nuts with the direction the author took but I'm still enjoying the series overall.

message 15: by Esther (new)

Esther (BellatrixWitch) | 15 comments I am reading all! I get it about skipping and I have never ever done that before. Just thought if it started going really stupid like in the old days of Dallas ! I just did not want to waste my money. But I really am enjoying what I have read so far and I am a big romantic at heart and hope it ends like Elizabeth & Mr Darcey!

message 16: by Mika (new)

Mika (mika_bull) | 13 comments Don't skip them! I have read all the books in the series except the most recent one (Biting Bad). There were a couple things that disappointed me, but not enough to ruin the series. I still really enjoy the characters, the plot, and the Chicagoland Vampires world in general.

Pamela Ennis (goodreadscomyahoo_pam) | 54 comments I have read this series and have really enjoyed it but as far as I am concerned you really have to read in order... I am just waiting for Biting Bad to come out now.

☔️ Stormy Day Reader (rainydayz179) | 67 comments I hope Biting Bad is better than the last book. I kept getting frustrated with that one. Sometimes these long series seem to have way too much constant conflict.

message 19: by Leandra (new)

Leandra Azer (azerjaban) | 68 comments If your happy where the book is now..then just skip the rest of the series.
