Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 4545 comments This is for books that you've read that are by lesser known authors. Maybe you heard about them through word of mouth, or you just took a chance on an unknown book and it really surprised you !

This is for books that you honestly read and then asked yourself, "why haven't more people read this?"

This thread is for readers!! So, if you're an author who is looking to plug his/her own work, please put it in the Author section ...not on this thread :)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 2302 comments The Angry Woman Suite by Lee Fullbright

This is not a YA book, but it is beautifully written! I won this book last year on Goodreads and I am SO glad that I did. It tied Indie Reader Discovery Award for Literary Fiction, 2012. Its genre could include historical fiction, literary fiction, mystery, thriller, and suspense.

It is told from three different perspectives and different generations. It isn't a book you sit down and read without having to think at all. It is FULL of twists, turns, and thought-provoking narrations throughout. You have NO idea until the end what the answers truly are. It's an amazing book!

I just looked this up and Wow! There are no 1 or 2 star ratings and only 5 3 star ratings. The rest are 4 and 5 star ratings! And it's set in Pennsylvania! I may have to get myself a copy. Thanks Vicki! :)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 2302 comments Not only is it a great book, but the author is AWESOME!! She's so down to earth! When I won her book I sent her a PM and we've become friends. I went to San Diego last summer to meet her and got to spend half a day with her. She's adorable and amazing!

If you like BEAUTIFUL, impeccable writing, you'll love her book. You won't find errors like in so many YA books.

You'll have to let me know if you read it! Lee is very open, so if you have questions I know she'll answer any messages you send. I'll even buddy read it with you. You know me, I forget everything, such as characters after a day or two. Lol

That's awesome Vicki! I may take a while to get to it, but I would like to read it sometime. :)

Amy (dollyames) | 1 comments Have you read The Changelings (War of the Fae, #1) by Elle Casey I LOVED this series! And the after series.

Also, by the same author, this is a very good dystopian novel Apocalypsis Book 1, Kahayatle by Elle Casey , but not for the faint of heart.

Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 4545 comments Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee Such a great, fast read! I 've been dying for the sequel from the moment I finished the last page.

Kate (kaitlins16) Princess (American Princess, #1) by Courtney Cole This surprised me how much I liked it. I thought it was going to be really light/girly because the cover then was because of the cover, and it was a free read. But it's a surprisingly dark book.

Falling (Bits and Pieces #1) by Shirley Miranda Dream Chaser by Angie Stanton Driven by Lisa Nowak Almost by Anne Eliot Brightest Kind of Darkness (Brightest Kind of Darkness, #1) by P.T. Michelle Moon Spell (The Tale of Lunarmorte, #1) by Samantha Young Smokeless Fire (Fire Spirits, #1) by Samantha Young Blood Will Tell (Warriors of Ankh, #1) by Samantha Young Undermountain (The Undermountain Saga, #1) by Eric Edstrom Six Moon Summer (Seasons of the Moon, #1) by S.M. Reine The Fallen Star (Fallen Star, #1) by Jessica Sorensen Beg for Mercy (Cambion, #1) by Shannon Dermott Intrinsical (The Yara Silva Trilogy, #1) by Lani Woodland

Almost all of these are parts of series. Samantha Young writes good books (Moon Spell, Smokeless Fire, and Blood Will Tell). I won Driven on a giveaway, received it in my email the day it came out, then got stuck in the book because I really liked it. I think I was the first person to rate Undermountain on Goodreads (besides the author) and found it to be one of the most unique books I've read (it's about Bigfoots/aliens, which I've never read about in other books).

Significance (Significance, #1) by Shelly Crane (a paranormal take on love at first sight)

Amanda | 8 comments I read I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak. I had read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and liked it, so I looked for some other books of his. I Am the Messenger looked a lot different than the Book Thief but still looked good so I tried it and loved it! I don't think many people have heard about it but it's a really unique and interesting book that I highly recommend.

Jess | 324 comments I thought this one was quite good: Bitter Angel by Megan Hand . It uses the split/dual timeline-type idea like Pivot Point (Pivot Point, #1) by Kasie West .
This fantasy adventure was also quite good: Fane Forest (The Element Series, #1) by Tahlea Eastwood
