Phil | 11837 comments Well, they're just trying to catch up to Mississipi, North Dakota Indiana and Virginia.

Indiana legislators recently advanced a bill that would require TWO medically unnecessary trans-vaginal ultrasounds for women requesting an abortion-inducing drug.

Mississippi has used TRAP laws to force closure of nearly all clinics in the state providing abortion services. There is one clinic left, and they're going after it like a biblical plague of locusts.

North Dakota (only one clinic remaining) and Virginia are following right on Mississippi's heels. Hell, Virginia even wants to declare "personhood" when sperm meets egg.

One word describes all of these legislative persons, and I will use it quite liberally, in several forms.

Fucking fuckwit motherfucking fuckheaded assfuckers!

Arkansas State Senator Jason Rapert Should Probably Change His Twitter Background So It Doesn’t Say ‘Rape’ a Bunch of Times

Maybe he doesn't look at his own Twitter. Or he figures it's a smart slogan? Apparently it's even worse with a wider screen, RAPER.

Pat (patb37) All of these crazy blatantly unconstitutional and draconian anti-abortion laws have a secondary agenda. The proponents want them to be challenged in court. They hope that they can push them to the supreme court in an attempt to overturn Roe v Wade.

That's not going to work, even with the largely far right court we have now. The Roberts court is not going to overturn a law that was established 40 years ago.

In the meantime it just makes these mopes look like morons, which is excellent for those who oppose their absurd causes, although it does waste everyone's time and hurts the people who live in these states who could benefit from their elected representatives actually doing positive things with their time. Very bad PR. The number of people in the populace who actually want these weird draconian laws passed is minuscule.
