So I used to hate reading when I was little because I have terrible dyslexia, but then, when I was 12 years old, my mother handed me the first Harry Potter book, I fell in love, and couldn't quit reading. Well, after about 20 when I became devoted to college, and then my job, and then my husband, I haven't read nearly as often as I used to...so for Valentine's I got a Kindle, and in two days is my birthday, so my birthday present to myself is to "rekindle" my passion for reading and make more time for it. I have already read The Color Purple (I finished it in about 4 days). And now I am currently working on Jane Austen's Emma. I'm looking forward to reading 50 books this year and hopefully upping the ante next year.
