Hey you are right.. It is kinda like a apartment building huh... Hey Jack.. you aren't going to charge us rent are you?

message 12: by Ohdie (new)

Ohdie Denisa you can sit on my shelves anytime, I'm just afraid you wont like what you see XD (I got everywhere from erotica-> children's books when I feel like it) that being said welcome! If you'd like to see what I think of as my Pg-13-acceptable-to-the-public-list head over to the 2013-normalish.

Anyways since im a broke student i've been slumming it on amazon free e-books :-) and i've actually been able to read things that I would'nt have picked out on my own- AND LOVED short list of stuff that has made me happy for free

City of Whispers (City of Whispers, #1) by Katherine Sorin The Governess Affair (Brothers Sinister, #0.5) by Courtney Milan Miss Me Not by Tiffany King Tears of No Return by David Bernstein

I even started a book shelf for it... I'm trying to read more but its becoming more difficult with the mass of textbooks overflowing my bookshelves these days...

Ohdie Went to two airshows this weekend, saw blue angels, thunderbirds, and some awesome acrobatic preformances...

Still trying to finish The Old City (City of Whispers, #2) by Katherine Sorin but im getting kinda distracted by Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson, #7) by Patricia Briggs and Avatar The Last Airbender - The Search Part 1 by Gene Luen Yang I have them sitting on my shelf staring at me.... its messing with my mind XD

I love air shows. They don't have them very often in my neck of the woods but I do like going to them. I know what you mean about trying to finish a book and you have others that holler at you to start them..

message 17: by Cherrelle (new)

Cherrelle Smith (spoonary) Yeah, I know that feeling too. THAT's why I'm 'currently reading' so many books. It's so hard to choose! Especially when some are compulsory reads...

I havnt been to an airshow in a while and with all the sequestering going on down here I thought "why not"? Apparently USAF Thunderbirds have no other performances rest of the year becuase of it... Have you ever flown?
I finally finished it last night *ending I really sped up*!!!! ^_^ only problem is that the two that were distracting me, I left behind in a friends house... so I STILL wont be reading it for a while! Its ok though... I have a lot more waiting for me to open them

Hi cherelle! Welcome to the mess of my corner!

I KNOW! Usually I can juggle up to 5 but with all my text books it gets a bit difficult so I am reduced to three. *even though technically I am juggling more but I sorta have them sitting there on my Kindle App...*

message 20: by Cherrelle (new)

Cherrelle Smith (spoonary) Aha! I do that too. I have tons of books on my Kindle that are a few pages in because I couldn't help but start reading them :/

message 21: by April (new)

April (ajoys) Hi fellow multiple book reader. I am usually reading 4 or 5 books at a time.

Ohdie Cherrelle wrote: "Aha! I do that too. I have tons of books on my Kindle that are a few pages in because I couldn't help but start reading them :/"

I see, its good that I'm not the only one XD my family would always look at me strange that I could juggle multiple plot lines at a time! So then how do you decide which book takes priority?

message 23: by Ohdie (new)

Ohdie April wrote: "Hi fellow multiple book reader. I am usually reading 4 or 5 books at a time."

Hello April! Nice to meet you! Sometimes I feel bad especially when one book just overtakes my attention and I am obsessed with it! cool avatar BTW.

message 24: by April (new)

April (ajoys) Thanks! I don't have a problem keeping plot line separate, which people ask me about all the time. I don't have the problem of one book taking over others because of how and when I read then. I am usually listening to two audio books one in the car and one at night before going to sleep, I have a hard or soft back for when I'm in the tub, one on my nexus 7, and some evenings my hubby reads a book to me usually YA.

Whichever has me hooked the most I guess. I find when I get past the half-way point in a book, I just want to reach the end, not to get the book out of the way, just to know what happens, so then I just stick to one book until it's finished.

O_O After reading that I n feel like an inadequate book addict next to you *bows down* wow! Honstly i have one audiobook for the last 7 months and I .. just...cannnnntttt Nope nope no audiobooks for me.

I can keep the plotlines straight but sometimes when a book gets good... yeah all attention goes to that book.

XCATLY! Though one of my pet peeves is when a book gets slow enough that I have to force my self the whole whatever hooks me atm work great!

I'm not sure what kind of plane but it was a four seater... and they served me a peanutbutter sand no jelly and ice water.... it was a rough ride, and I swear I felt every bump... didn't know there were bumps in the sky. I know it was a small plane and they aren't as smooth but I vowed if I could just get down safe I wouldn't do it again... yes I am a scrady....

^_^ transitioning from larger commercial jets is scary I guess! Depending on your altitude you could've been experiencing thermals or it could've been anything really *convergence? Gravitational winds ^_^?* Still it's a shame maybe one day I'll drag you with me JK not really (we shall have fun then Ms. Denisa)Anyways I hope your enjoying your weekend and reading comfily! Happy Easter is you celebrate it!

message 33: by Ohdie (new)

Ohdie So I just counted my kindle books which I have not finished/ started and I came up with 82 books... 0)-(0 well this is kinda scary! I need to play major catch up and read like cray cray.

I just finished today Synthetic The Rise of the Siren by Shonna Wright 3/5

i think Im gonna tackle Hushed by Kelley York Replica by Lexi Revellian The Iron Thorn (Iron Codex, #1) by Caitlin Kittredge
& What's Left of Me (The Hybrid Chronicles, #1) by Kat Zhang which is the whole TBR thing ;) hopefully I'll actually get some reading this week! Hushed has been teasing me for the last month ugh!

Besides that even going somewhat insane I'm making progress, hopefully I'll be IFR rated by early May! Lots of studying but I shall do itz!

-and I guess that's like my journal entry? Ha how ironic I could never keep one in my life!

message 38: by Katherine (new)

I know that feeling too... I love my e-reader and yet.... I love actual books more.... and since the e-reader won't charge and I need to replace it... well I'm storing up on books again...

message 40: by Ohdie (new)

Ohdie I could never actually catologued, that's actually the reason I began to be more active in this site the last 2 years this sorta is my catolog! I always have something to read be it textbooks, manga or actual books! I think that as long as there are ppl who write there will always be something new to read that interests you!

Denisa: Madam I keep imagining that you have like an actual library in your house for some reason....

Katherine: The best thing is that since you speak different languages you can always find more book! *especially if they don't get translated to english*

message 41: by Ohdie (new)

Ohdie So finished today:
Hushed by Kelley York Review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

I liked it. Ms. York seems to excell at making me feel trapped HA! Next is Replica by Lexi Revellian . I have a feeling this will be a bit slower read but still looking forward to it.

Meanwhile in real life- ITS GETTING SO HOT AGAIN NOOOOO. The cold has left again leaving me to wallow in the sticky humidity sigh...

message 42: by April (new)

April (ajoys) I wish it would get hot here in NC, I am tired of winter

message 43: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (veraj121) | 271 comments Me too. Winter is lingering in NYC. smh

message 44: by Ohdie (new)

Ohdie I actually really like the cold. My fave temps are 40-60s... People it was 87 F today and I got sunburned standing outside for 10 min trust me I'd rather be in NC.. srry veronica but no NYC my friends over there say that your summers are even worse than ours!

message 45: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (veraj121) | 271 comments I dont like summer especially when it hits over 80 degrees. It was almost 60 degrees today. But the weather is dropping again

See that sounds nice :) then again I've never had to experience snow... thats where I would imagine it gets miserable

message 47: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 610 comments Winter is lingering here too. We should be well into spring here at this stage, but no, polar air in from Siberia. The birds haven't a clue what to do at this stage. At least it's dry though

Actual Ina I do in a way... I have book shelves in one room on three walls. I have about 2600 books and I still want more. My family borrows them by check out and it warms my heart to see them read and loved as much I love them... My shelves have the trilogies in certain places all together and ivy plants in between some of the books and I have them on the shelves by author and type...
My husband bought me a kindle which I love at work or away from home. He thought it would cut down on the books I buy and bring home but... if I read one I like on the kindle I end up ordering it.. lol

.... I feel a bit jealous! Nah, I aspire one day to have a room like that! I just recently got my first ever book shelf and I love it! Before that I was just piling books and always lost them (which sucks because when I go back to look I cant find them or remember who i lent it to) I should try harder to be as organized but my chaos always seems to work out well!

---Im glad your still into paper! Most ppl I know will refuse to buy paper after having a kindle! I hate how my generation is slowly becoming the last paper one and how everybody is switching to Ipads and stuff (its depressing for me to lug around charts and someone juts goes oh! its on my tablet UGH) I just like the fact i can write on paper I guess
