Hey there! I'm sorry, but this is open to US residents only, Giulia. The next giveaway/read I host will be open to international readers, but there's not enough time this time.

On a side note: You'll notice when the book arrives it might look as though I was in a battle with the packaging tape. That's because I was in a battle with the packaging tape. Obviously, because the packages got shipped, I won said battle. But it was close.

Geez! There's lint, fuzz, maybe some dog hair and I wouldn't be surprised if there's bits of my flesh there, too. What a mess!

Good heavens! Do you really think the group (or the world) could handle more than one of me??

Well, of course I'm hoping everyone will enjoy the book. It's not your typical HR. It's not light and fluffy, but it's still a compelling story.
But if all else fails, Lisa Kay and Pamela are quite entertaining ;)

And not only that, it might cause you to start bragging or blustering!!!

She does that a lot, doesn't she? I wonder if she's ever done that with a mouthful of soda. That'd hurt like the dickens!

So, have you started reading yet?
Things to think about while reading this story:
1. In Historical Romance Novels, it's often the heroes who are the scarred ones, either physically or emotionally, or both. They don't usually hide themselves away from society, but more readily accept their scars as a part of who they are.
In this case, it's the heroine who is scarred. As a reader, how does Catriona's reaction to her accident and the loss of her beauty make you feel?

So yes, a few chapters in already (starting Chapter 9) and I am finding myself frustrated that my JOB is taking time away from reading!
As for the question posed by Dhes.... I am still thinking!!
He was her Highland lover, but would he be her savior?
Catriona Cameron was once famed for her seductive beauty and charm. Now she saw no one, hiding from the world...and no one dared break through her self-imposed exile.
No one, that is, until Mark Thorburn burst into her home, and Catriona's darkened world began to have color again. Thorburn, secretly the heir to an Earldom, claimed he was a footman. But Catriona didn't care about the scandal their passion could cause...for this very touch sparked her back to a life of sensuality, one she thought she'd never have again.
Little does she know that Mark is part of a masquerade. One that will end when they become the target of a madman set on revenge. Mark realizes he will have to do more than win her love...he will have to save her life as well.

2. We've talked about the role reversals in terms of the Catriona, so let's talk about Mark.
How do you feel him? In most historical romance novels, the hero is, in some ways, alpha. They're demanding, compelling, and more often than not, the heroine has to bow to their wishes.
How is Mark different, and do you see this as a strength or a weakness?
