I got the feeling that the authors were trying to get us to like him so that we would be upset when he turned out to be evil, but he creeped me out the whole time.

Yeah, I liked Loren, not as much as Erik but a LOT more than Heath. (Ew. Just typing his name made me cringe.)

I liked him...More than Heath ( i mean ew what is that guys problem) but less than Erik cos heturned out bad.

I didn't like him at all and have serious issues with the way these books are written, especially the stereotypical portrayal of homosexuality. But I also find people's attitudes to Zoe and sex/multiple love interests quite intriguing/disturbing. I find myself hoping these people aren't as harshly judgmental of the actual people in their lives.

I think what she means is that she doesn't like loren as much as erik because loren turned out to be bad.

Yeah, that's my main problem with the whole series, they tried to make everything seem like Erik's fault.

Erik is a TDB (Ten Degree Burns) hottie, but he's also a duche pardon my French and as for Loren, well to be nice , he's a major horny slimeball. Leggo Heath and Stark. ;) xxx,O.

I liked Loren too. The things that he did, most would consider romantic. He truly cared for Z also. Otherwise, they wouldn't have had that bond. And, in the end, he died for it. I liked Erik until the author decided to give him a personality make over. That upset me more than anything in the series. That he went from one type of guy to an out of nowhere controlling jealous boyfriend? Yeah, that was for us to allow in Stark. No, I don't like Stark. He's dangerous and mostly I don't like him because the author had to change her character for us to like him. Yes, Z was a runaround. That's why I don't necessarily blame Erik for his reactions to the new guy Stark. He had every right to no trust her. She slept with someone in the open; all because he was romantic and she thought that he loved her. Well, then she should have broke up with Erik first.

I agree. Why is it not Zoey's fault? She's the one sleeping around with everyone. And, Erik was right. She did have feelings for Stark and Heath before they split up. Any self respecting male would not want to put up with it. He should have left her the first moment that he saw that connection with Stark.

Oh and before you criticize my idea of Loren, I could almost guarantee the gifts that he gave Zoey were not known by anyone but him. Neferet wanted to make Z jealous and think that Loren didn't care. But, what it really boils down to, is that he did and he gave things to Z behind her back. And, that made her incredibly jealous and absolutely hate Z, even more than she already did. It became personal because he sex slave fell for someone that wasn't her and formed a bond with her too.

So, he may have been creepy to some. But, he did have feelings for her. She should have been off limits though.

Zoey needs to be with Heath, and NO ONE ELSE. Erik and Stark both need to move on and find someone better. (I especially like the idea of Erik and Shaylin. Who else does?)
As for Loren, well, he's dead. Too bad.

LOL was he really that old? I don't remember. I guess that I thought him to be only a few years past his turning. He definitely wasn't desperate. Not if he was already preoccupied with Neferet.

Not I. I like Erik and Z (I feel that she treated him dirty and their relationship could have blossomed. And, there was definitely something there before Stark and his out of nowhere jealousy. I would like Shaylin with someone else. She seems too innocent for Erik IMO. Like one of those boys that stood up for Z when Neferet was blaming all their problems on her. The ones that the girls always drooled over.) but I wouldn't mind a Heath and Z if the human barrier isn't there anymore. I haven't been able to read the last one yet. But, even when Heath wasn't this reincarnated guy, I wanted it to be Erik and Z over her and Heath. So, I guess that I am biased.

Loren was a bit off. The way he was portrayed wasn't right. He could have been likable if the authors would have did a better job of creating more believable characters and situations. Seriously, if she couldn't bring herself to have sex with Heath(they have known each other since forever),then sexing some random vampire was very far-fetched.Like, come on, it couldn't have been that easy.

I liked loren for a little bit, but then he started getting all creepy like, and then i started to get a little suspicious because of the way he acted around zoey. Thats kinda why this book is the way it is, because lorens character was to decieve the reader and main character into thinking loren was the "right guy" , and then it hits you in the face when you find out he played zoey. Straight disrespect. But zoey kinda got herself into that situation, she was way smarter then that.

I have to agree with you because he sounded hot until I realised that he was just a slave to Nerfert. I also can't believe that he would seduce Zoey like that.

I dislike the portrayal of Z's relationships in the book. Loren is a mindless slave to Neferet, arrogant and down right creepy. Erik, portrayed as too innocent? And Zoey can't hear the warning signs, and SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SMARTER THAN THAT. I could never get over the fact that she chose Loren over Erik and Heath. Or the fact that she will always be in love with more than 2 people at the same time.

UGH i HATED LOREN HE WAS MY LEAST FAVOURITE OUT OF THE THREE (Loren, Heath, Erik)And Heath was my favorite. I just thought that Loren was just weird and i'll admit it, I did like him once and then the tattoo's... His character just wasnt my favourite and i was so happy when he died (sorry for the spoilers, read book three to understand this comment)and so to answer your question my opinion is NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I never liked him, I seriously felt he was kind of creepy right from the start. I was still surprised he was working with the enemy, though.

I liked him just a little bit then i found out he was working with Neferet and that made me hate him.

(Spoiler Alert) I think that Loren said and did things that he truly meant, outside of what Neferet had him do. But, he had to do what Neferet said. Matter of fact, his liking of Zoey more than he should have got him killed in the end. He did have a rare connection with her; one that I am sure meant that he had some feelings for her. I hated the fact that she fell for him so hard and chose to do stupid things with him. My two favorite for her will always be Erik and Heath. She really shouldn't be mad at Erik for being insecure..she did it to herself.

Im not gonna lie...I own almost this entire series...but I couldnt get past book 7. It seemed like the entire series basically became a story on How many people Zoey could screw. She pretty much played around with every guy she bumped into. Ill probably sell all the books.

I agree. I am on book 11 and I’m struggling because after book 6 they all started to blur together and became very slow paced. I used to like this series but now....

YES!! It seems like they took a story line and just stretched it as far as possible! Its not a good thing when you start to hate the main character lol

I hated Zoey since book 1 and she had some redeeming moments where I thought “okay maybe she’s not so bad” but they quickly disappeared lol. But Loren was by far the worst of Zoey’s men and he played the smallest role. I also hate Kalona.

I really liked Stark and I thought that Heath had really changed for the better, but it seems like every decent guy she just strings along, or plays them against each other.

I’m on book 11 and I can tell you that’s exactly what happens lol or her love interests will die and then come back to life. It’s old.

it was creepy.. i had a feeling from the start that his character is off.. and who takes interest in a teenager the way loren took.. that too immediately. that was just thumbs down

La pareja de Loren y Zoey era IMNECESARIA, no me gusto Loren en ningun momento.

I thought he was a perv, she sleeps with him and Eric finds out and then is a total a** hole to Zo, at least Heath forgives her and lets go of it, because Zo's friends were so obsessed with the idea of her and Eric it was easy for him to get them to turn on her and treat her badly because and older guy tricked her into sex.
