Im new to goodreads.com & to the Jodi Picoult reading group. My favorite authors are Jodi Picoult & Nicholas Sparks. I have read just about all their books. I'm looking forward to participating in the discussions!

Hi, Jess - I am new, too (joined last week).

I have never read Nicholas Sparks - is he similar to Jodi Picoult? What would be a good book of his for a first-time reader to try?

I would read The Guardian . It's probably my favorite book of his. Also, read the Notebook ( you might have already seen the movie, but the book is good too.) Another good one is A Bend in The Road. I think you will enjoy any of these books. His is a great author! He has a different writing style than Jodi Picoult, but I love both of them!
