What did you think of it?

I just finished it and it was really good! I never read Alice in Wonderland or watched the movie, but I can tell that it's a twist from the Disney film. I really enjoyed the fact that unlike most fairytale retellings, this book doesn't just restate the original story but instead contradicts and compares it. I'm really happy that this book was voted for 'cause I probably would have never read it otherwise. Of course, this book isn't the best book in the world or anything, but it's an engaging read to pick up when you don't specifically have a book in mind that you want to read. But I'm probably boring everyone to death so let me just say one more thing...read the book :)

It was AMAZING!!!!

I really liked this new take on Alice in Wonderland. The plot was fairly involved and I really liked all the characters. I also liked that it was wrapped up in one book and not drug out through a series. Although would be open to a sequel with other members of the family....maybe a daughter?

i always loved alice and wonderland as a kid;) so i loved splintered and i thought it was a unique retake of it

I'm going to buy this book, either when it's on sale somewhere, or wait until it comes out in paperback. But I'm really excited to actually read the book. It sounds really good. I loved Alice in Wonderland as a kid.

I enjoyed the book a lot, and thought that the author was beautifully descriptive. I was a little bummed with the love interest, having liked the Wonderland characters better, but I'll definitely read the sequel when it comes out.

I'm so glad I bought and read this book. An amazing take on Alice in Wonderland, I loved reading it.

I really liked this book. I agree that the fact that it wasn't the original story over again but a continuation and a skewing of the original. The characters seemed real to me.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love revamped, modernized classics. I did think 'Hatter' was more her other-half. Her art would be amazing to see.

I actually enjoyed it a lot, even though it was pretty morbid but I found it so interesting :P

I loved it! It is about time someone created a realistic version of it.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! The "Wonderland" was beautifully described and I really appreciated how the author remained faithful to the original fairytale while adding her own twist to the story

I ADORED THIS BOOK. I even finished the sequel UNHINGED and loved it just as much. <3 Morpheus is amazing!

I really enjoyed this book.
I was totally captivated by the cover art ... just absolutely beautiful!
Since I was little, I've been enthralled with the world of Alice in Wonderland. This story takes that original by Lewis Carroll and gives it a dark twist (and you thought it was already twisted... lol).
I've always thought that certain stories (i.e. Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz) lend themselves very well to being re-told and re-created and this story not only did that, but exceeded my expectations. It's really more of a return to a Wonderland we've never experienced before. Even those characters we've grown to love over the years (i.e. the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit) have been given new life.
This read was impressive both in it's imagery and it's fresh take on a beloved classic.

Can't wait to receive my copy of Unhinged. Should be here soon! :)

I'm dying to get this book, and I already want the sequel, just because the covers are GORGEOUS!

I haven't read Unhinged yet but am dying to get my hands on it soon!! Is it as good as the first one?
