Shut Up & Read discussion

We will be starting Monday.

There's not too many books that I re-read, but this is one of them...just for Vlad :) And I wanted a refresher before reading Twice Tempted.

I am all for rereading this one, it was my first read in this series, and Vlad was soooo yummy.

When does Twice Tempted come out???

i think it comes out on March 26

I don't have a lot to report, but I read the first seven chapters again and cackled.
It is a lot more fun knowing who Vlad is. Watching Leila go through the Cat motions. Poor Vlad. No one ever believes him.
I think I will enjoy the reread quite a bit, just for the little catches.

I'm reading right now. That's one of the reasons I wanted to re-read this one...because now I have the background on Vlad :)

I am more excited about this one than . I like Leila and I love Vlad!

Don't forget to read though.

Haven't started yet, but will get to the first 7 later tonight if I can.

Up to chapter 12, Vlad well, Vlad is Vlad and this one is pretty fun. Leila or "Frankie" is fun, and i'm liking her as a match for Vlad

I read up to chapter 15. I like the chemistry between Leila and Vlad. He needs someone who will stand up to him and she needs someone who can withstand the current she puts out. Match made in Heaven or in Jeaniene Frost's mind. LOL

Up to ch18 last night. I love the explosiveness of their passion & how Leila keeps challenging Vlad, strong woman.

i couldn't stop until Leila & Vlad ended up in bed. Damn!!! I forgot how explosive that screen was.

I'm off to clean floors & bathrooms, the joys of being a stay at home mom. :-)

I like Leila, too. She is able to hold her own and stand up for herself even when she's terrified. She's perfect for Vlad :)

I'm going to read it simply because there is a lot of Ian in it (so I've heard). I think I'm obsessed with him.

I have that one too. It has another Argeneau story in it & I have all of those already. :-)

Guess I will have to reread it later, I have 2 other vamp novels to finish first.

My library sucks. Even with series, they always have one or two books, but I have to buy the rest.

This series (Night Huntress), they had two of the books.

I read it over the holidays as part of a reading challenge. It was a lot of fun and I love Ian in it!

(Sorry I disappeared. Work got nuts and the kids kept getting sick ugh)

Glad you are back and that your kids are feeling better.

I'm really glad that I re-read this one. I don't normally re-read many books, but you get a whole different picture of Vlad after having read the Night Huntress series. And Leila, too. I thought she was ballsy before (talking back to him, slapping him), but now knowing him better, I think she's freaking awesome!

I agree Leila is very lucky Vlad liked her spunk because she would have been crispy.

Oh, and I really hate her sister. I hope something happens to her in the next book - she gets kidnapped or something. Is that too mean? Too bad.

Finished the book last night, lol. I couldn't help it. Anyone else finish?? Im starting on the other suggested companion read to this one later; I have banana bread to finish baking and cleaning house to do. :-)

Leigh, ditto. I was able to pick up on a few things I missed and just let Vlad be the delectable arrogant Sexxxy vampire I always hoped he was seduce. ;-)

OMG! I just got to the part where Vlad is going to skewer Maximus while I understand his reasoning behind it, I don't agree with it.

The love scene was fantastic!

Back to reading.

Scratching skewering have Leila electrocute him while practicing her new trick. Only Vlad would come up with that.

I was very bad this morning! I bought a ton of books on Audible including . Audible is having a big sale. I applied for the Amazon card so I could have benifets to buying. LOL

I had forgotten how this book ended, too. Now I'm even more anxious for Twice Tempted!

I won't read the hunger games books, EVER. Any other ideas??? I'm loving Jeaniene Frost, I also love Lynsay Sands, Kerrelyn Sparks & now Sandra Hill for vamp seduction novels.

I do need to find the other books by Frost, looks like I need to hit the used book store this weekend after the range. Lol

I had forgotten how it ended, too. I knew it wasn't a happy ever after ending.

What are we going with for next week?

Still havent finished this one, but I will finish up Vlad and Frankie tonight, i've been sick :) my son brought home the stomach virus and gave it to everyone lol, told my wife not to take him to the store!
