Richelle Mead's Indigo Spell...any thoughts?

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 822 comments Up until this book I didn't think that it was as good as the author's VA series. But this book was by far the best in the series so far, it strikes me a little odd as the book could have been titled the Adrian and Sydney show. I did miss Jill and Eddie, they were around, but more just popped up every so often.

It seemed like Sydney is working undercover with every faction with Adrian as her sidekick. She kept running from one group to another doing some little mission. At first I couldn't see how these groups and the things she was doing connected, but really they all lead back to Sydney being able to protect Jill. Sydney's not seeing the rigid social lines is becoming a big benefit as she is willing to do whatever.

I was happy to see the choice that Sydney made with Marcus. I feel like he is hiding things from Sydney and it will come back to hurt her.

I loved Adrian pushing Sydney. Sydney is so tightly controlled that it was great to see her flustered.

With the two new additions to the team it will be interesting what happens next for Sydney.

Niamh225 | 1 comments I agree with you re: Marcus. I didn't like him at all. I don't think we're meant to to be honest. It's good to see Sydney becoming less rigid. I think the ending is leading to some interesting times in the next book. I'm enjoying this series.

Shelli I'm still reading this one...after being completely disappointed with the second in the series...I do agree with Darcy that this one is the best so far...still not as good as VA for me...but getting better. I'll come back with thoughts after I finish.

Shelli I really enjoyed it. Finally some forward progress in this storyline. This one felt like the Richelle Mead from Vampire Academy. I agree the ending is leading up to some interesting stuff......but it was still a satisfying ending for this one.

I might get some backlash for this, but I actually like the Bloodlines series more than VA, but I agree. This book was the best so far. I like the direction it's all taking. I get the feeling everything can stay hidden for so long, and when it comes out its going to hit the fan. My only complaint is that it felt a little too fast paced, giving the reader very little time to catch their breath.
I think we'll see Marcus again. Did anybody else notice how every girl but Sydney fell for him? What's up with that? Is he really just that good looking or do you think something else is going on?
